Stayed Dec 24, 2021The location was about a 5 minute walk to the beach. There is no ocean view. The pool is small and was cloudy. We never used it. The water pressure was really weak and the water smelled. There was no oven or dishwasher. Definitely not an easy kitchen to cook in and not fully equipped. The beds were comfortable, the maid was there daily and we liked having her clean and do laundry. The beach and weather were beautiful. Lots of restaurants in walking distance. The locals on the beach really badger you to go to their shops, parasail, etc. The property manager and his driver were great.

Stayed Aug 14, 2017My family rented both villas - 5 adults, 3 (12-year old) children in August. They’re in a great location, were wonderfully set up and provided all the amenities that we needed for the week. They were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. We felt safe the whole time and walked in and out of the immediate area with no worries, even at night, with our children. The Los Corales community’s surroundings and grounds were very clean, quiet and provided a nice relaxing experience. The locals were friendly and we got to practice some of the tiny amount of Spanish we know. The pool was big and was always clean. The beach was beautiful, clean and the water was warm. It was also great to have all those beach supplies available at the villas. We only ate at two restaurants in the area – Citrus and Noah, and both had delicious food. Noah made my mom’s birthday dinner very special – they sent a taxi to pick us up and take us back to the villa (free for parties of 5 or more), their servers sang to her and brought out cake with sparklers so it was very memorable. A few steps from the villa is the popsicle store (can’t remember the name) that had lots of local flavors; we enjoyed those. Walking right outside of the Los Corales gate, we bought many local fruits, especially delicious mangos and papayas, as well as the juices. We did a half-day excursion with Outback Safari Adventures which was fantastic, highly recommended. It was also great that the villa owner had taxi service already arranged for us for pick up upon arrival and departure. It helped make our experience even much better. Important tip – save money by having the taxi driver stop at the supermarket on your way to the villa upon arrival, to pick up supplies. Before our trip, Brad provided us with an information packet with lots of helpful information. Morena was amazing. She took such excellent care of us, gave us a tour so we knew where everything was. She came by every day to check up on us, ensure the villa was clean, had what we needed and did our laundry. Having her personal attention made for a great vacation experience.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Wonderful vacation properties. We rented both villas for our party of eight. Very clean and well kept. Morena and Chico were fantastic. Having no ability to speak Spanish was not a big problem. There were so many great places around the villas. We had no problem finding excellent food choices and the people were friendly everywhere we went. Definitely would recommend this property to anyone going to the Dominican – we would use again if we return. The only reason why I cannot give a five star rating is that it was quite a walk to the beach. We just felt it was advertised as a few steps and in actuality it is quite a ways, which actually did not turn out so bad because it was terribly windy at the beach most days and perfectly calm back at the villas and at the pool! Great vacation and great getaway -thank you so much Brad and family!!

Stayed Feb 9, 2016Beautiful property and location exactly matching the description. We were met outside the airport by our taxi driver who took us to the supermarkado (supermarket) where we spent about $80 on groceries for the week. We found most of the things we were after for us and the kids such as cereal, milk, bread, butter, Coca Cola, coffee and filters. We also purchased apple juice, snacks/chips and microwave popcorn. From our shopping trip we were able to eat nearly all of our breakfast and lunches at the villa. At the villa, we met the housekeeper. First, do not over pack. If you ask (and for a tip), she will do your laundry and you will go home with clean clothes!! We found it much easier to deal in pesos than dollars. Then you don't have to fight the inaccurate game of conversion on most of your bills at shops and restaurants. In addition, if you are running low, the taxi driver will take you to an ATM but it only dispenses pesos. D'Angelos is a great pizza/pasta place. The bakery has great pastries and Nam Nam has the best stuffed hamburger! We also ventured farther down the street and found a restaurant that took credit cards even though I can't recall the name. Food for choosy children is spotty. Our kids survived on pizza and pasta and the unnamed place had chicken strips, so they survived. Went to Captain Cooks too. The beds are comfy and the air conditioning worked, so it was a very comfortable stay. There are vendors on the beach but they normally stay at the water's edge and won't bother you once you tell them no. We purchased para-sailing and had a ball. They started at $50/person and we ended up at $35 (even though I think we could have got to $30 per person). I would also recommend the Canopy Adventures zipline that takes you on an open bus through Higuey and to the site. Worth every penny. Villa provides all the beach digging tools plus a bag for them, snorkel gear, beach towels and coolers. Bring plenty of sunscreen and reapply often! The only thing that may have made it any better might have been if I knew a little Spanish and had brought more cash and relied less on the credit/debit card. Otherwise, every picture is exactly what you see and after being there, I wouldn't change a thing about the VRBO description. Seamless communication with the owner even on the day of our trip (contacted him regarding flight delays) and he thoroughly answered all my questions. Highly recommend staying here!!

Stayed Nov 30, 2015A truly relaxing vacation! My husband and I spent a week at Villas Los Corales and it could not have been more relaxing. From Chicho who greeted us at the airport and took us to and through the local grocery store, to Morena who gave us out initial tour and cared for us all week, to the guards at the gate, everyone was friendly and helpful. Even our poor Spanish was not a hindrance. The Villa was just as described and perfect for our needs. We travel frequently and one of the problems we typically run into is uncomfortable beds - not here! The bed was comfortable and the surroundings quiet. It really is a short walk to town for the market, pharmacy, and bakery. The food and the staff at Don Pio (the Cuban restaurant in town) and Balicana (try the spring rolls) were delicious. We also stopped at Garry's Good Times Sports Bar & Restaurant one evening where we enjoyed an evening of good conversation and sports TV, and made some new friends. I wish we had tried more of the restaurants. I did try the spa, however, and had a massage in the botanical garden. It was lovely – you can choose to have your massage in the spa, in the garden or on the beach. The beach itself was a real treat, especially compared with the beaches at the high priced all-inclusive resorts. Friends staying at one of these resorts told us they had to get up at 5 in the morning to “stake out a good beach spot” – not at Las Corales! You just show up at the uncrowded beautiful beach and the attendant brings you chairs. That’s it – no matter what time you show up there’s going to be a spot.
