Stayed Jul 7, 2024We loved our stay at the Villa. It was perfectly located to access different adventures each day. Carmine and family met us to check in and hosted a pizza party that night that was amazing. He also helped coordinate several activities including Pompeii, Vesuvius and a boat tour of Capri. The pool was ideal at the end of each day to cool us off from our activities. We cooked at home a couple of nights and found the kitchen to be well stocked. Thanks to both the host and Carmine for helping create amazing family memories! Burtchaell Crew

Stayed Sep 22, 2023We had a wonderful stay at the villa. The location was beautiful but it was a little farther from town then I realized. You can rely on Carmine to make any arrangements you need. He did an excellent job recommending restaurants, arranging transportation and setting up day outings. He was always available to answer questions. Our age group ranged from 6 - 76. We are all active and found the trip to town took on average 30 minutes downhill, uphill well that's a different story! Avoid it in the rain as the path becomes slick.

Stayed Jul 29, 2023Fantastic view and a very large and accommodating villa. the pool was welcomed by the kids and the expansive area outside allowed for us to congregate together or be off on our own. The only thing that was better than the villa and the view was our host Carmine. What a fantastic job he did! From arranging all transportation to and from airport, Pompeii tour and local restaurants. He was extremely attentive and his network of local drivers and restaurateurs were some of the best people we met. Carmine also prepared two meals for us: a pizza party and a traditional Italian dinner. The food was fantastic and Carmine's 9 course pizza extravaganza was on of the trip highlights for everyone. Overall our group agreed it was the best vacation in decades. If you book this villa or others managed by Alfonso and Carmine, you will not be sorry!

Stayed May 12, 2023A fantastic property with all the amenities you need. Gorgeous views. Easy access to St Agatha up the hill about 10 minute hike. Located on a steep hillside, so planning for hiking/transport is essential. Would stay here again

Stayed Jul 18, 2022This was one of the best vacations ever. The villa has one of the most beautiful views so swimming in the pool felt like paradise. Close to many beautiful destinations. One of our most favorite was Sant’ Agata. What a quaint town. Most of all our host Carmine did not disappoint! He arranged the best trip to Capri and also recommended some of the most delicious restaurants. The true icing on the cake was the wonderful meal he prepared and the delicious pizza he cooked up! He truly was a terrific host and we cannot wait to return! Grazie molto Carmine!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We stayed at Villa GiuliaPina for a long weekend in March. There were just 3 of us as we wanted to test it out for our whole family. The views are spectacular and the villa itself is beautiful and very clean. The local manager organised a pizza party for us on Saturday evening - amazing. We did have a car but it was easy to walk the short distance up the hill (800 metres) to the bus stop and get the bus into Sorrento centre (approx. 15 minutes). There is a short cut to walk to Sorrento if you wish (it takes approx. 40 minutes). From the same bus stop, we also took a bus to Positano and Amalfi. The bus tickets are cheap. The pool was open but it was too chilly to use it. We are going to come back with the whole family in September when we can make the most of the pool. There are 10 of us and we have already booked.

Stayed May 9, 2018Our adventure started with our rental car's incorrect GPS directions to our meeting place with Carmine (Car-mee-nee) at the Grand Hotel Hermitage. When we finally met up with him he lead us down the winding and steep driveway to our lovely Villa. The beautiful Villa was clean and very spacious but was equipped with bare essentials and inconsistent WiFi. Carmine fulfilled our short list of requests the next day (extra towels, hangers, dish clothes, leaky faucet, slow shower drains and WiFi repair.) We neglected to tell Carmine that the only two small expresso makers they provided were inadequate for our family of six (our problem). There was a western coffee maker that did not work. And as with all our vacations, we took care of our personal needs and remembered from a previous visit to shop at the convenient small Conad super market nearby in Sant' Agata. This great town has a fresh pasta shop, bakeries, butcher, flowers etc. However there are larger options in Sorrento town, which we also tried, if you like the challenging driving and parking experience. It is part of the fun tho. So is the 30 minute walk down the steep path from the Villa to Sorrento. (Our ages ranged from 40 to 72, so consider any joint issues.) Nice walk, but we did decided to take a taxi back later that day. The Villa was located perfectly for access for day trips to Pompeii, Capri, Positano, Amalfi and other sights. Our family mostly enjoyed hanging out in the comfortably furnished and spacious patios. Enjoying the sunset with antipasto, caprese and lots of good wine. Cordiali saluti, Felice and Ed

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The location of the villa, near Sant' Agata and Sorrento was perfect. The local town, Sant' Agata, was a 10min walk uphill - but easy enough - which had everything needed for our stay. The local butchers, bakers and supermarket had everything we needed. The local restaurants were also very good, well priced. Highly recommend Don Alfonso for a special occasion (with wine c£170 per person). The villa was clean and tidy, very spacious and well equipped. The view was stunning. The pool is small but adequate for cooling off. Carmine was very helpful and arranged a few of our activities, including a boat trip to the Amalfi coast, pizza party in the villa, mozzarella and limoncella tour. Carmine also organised the booking of Don Alfonso for us. He was available for us if we had any questions at any time. Please note that cash will be required to pay for any activities. This meant we were travelling out with what we considered to be a large amount of cash. There is a very steep walk down into Sorrento that takes about half an hour. I would not suggest you walk back unless you are very fit and undertake aerobic exercise at home. Do not walk back in the heat of the day - unlike us! Our first point of contact for booking the villa was Alfonso. He has been very helpful in organising the trip. I certainly would recommend this villa and I would like to think we would use Naples Villas again.

Stayed May 13, 2016The kitchen was great. Large and includes an indoor grill and pizza oven. Some of the heaters and plugs don't work. We needed instruction on the appliances so we had to Google user manuals. The 20 minute walk into town is more like an hour and a half. It's very slippy after a rain. Steep uneven steps - take a walking stick. It let's you out at the edge of town. The villa is,a little drafty.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969My extended family and I stay at this villa for a week in July 2015. The villa was lovely and spacious. All the pictures were representative of the villa. The view from the villa was beautiful and it was very nice to have lots of windows to take advantage of the view from nearly every room in the villa. The villa was very clean and comfortable. Plenty of room to accommodate our family of 4 adults and 2 children. My only word of caution is the road leading to the villa. I was not prepared for how steep and narrow the road would be. It was so challenging to get out of the driveway and up the road, that I decided to not drive my rental car the entire week. My rental car was a manual car (which I know how to drive but have not driven in a few years). Unless you are very comfortable with a manual car on very steep roads or have an automatic car, I would suggest you find another place to stay. We used alot of private drivers while in Sorrento but found that many would not come down to the villa from the main road. And the walk to the main road would not be easy. We had other family members staying at another villa on the main road and basically drove our other car (automatic) to their villa and then got picked up by a private driver. Besides the difficult driving situation, we had a wonderful and relaxing time in Sorrento. It is a beautiful area and we had the opportunity to take some side trips to Positano, Capri and Pompeii. A wonderful trip and very nice accommodations.
