3* air-conditioned villa for 8 with swimming pool in a quiet location 7 minutes' walk from the village

If you are looking for an absolutely beautiful property, inside and out, this is the one for you. The house is very clean, nicely furnished, fully stocked, and beautifully decorated. The furniture is high quality and very comfortable.The views are beyond stunning, and the sense of peacefulness is ever present. Sometimes the only noise we heard was from the birds singing and the wind rustling the trees. I loved the balcony off one of the bedrooms. At night the stars were so bright I felt like I could touch them. In the morning, I stepped out and marveled at the clear blue sky and the ever changing scenery. Although, there were only two of us and our small dog, this house is spacious and perfect for a family with children. Our little dog had lots of space to run around and explore, and the property is fully fenced.Francois was very readily available if we needed anything. But, we didn’t need much, everything is in good working order. The village is about a 10-12 minute walk through a trail with beautiful views of the valley below. It is a bit of a hike so you should be in decent shape to enjoy the walk to the village. We are seniors with a 14lb dog who walked to the village often. The walk is worth it. The village is absolutely charming with plenty of restaurants, cafes, an ice cream shop and small shops. Loved the comfort, beauty, peace, and cultural experience of living in a medieval village. We stayed 3 weeks in this beautiful house and enjoyed every minute.Francois was an incredible host and starting with answering a lot of questions in advance, he was always on side to solve the small issues and give advice and guidance for appropriate touring.Check-in and depart was as easy as all the communication. The pool area and especially the outdoor kitchen was superb and equipped with everything you could possibly need, so is the complete house.Well maintained, comfortable living space and 3 bedroom will suit most of the families needs.Very quiet surroundings and no neighbours that will disturb your holiday, next to the city, but: there are hills and you will need a car ( and some driving skills) to get your groceries.The walk to the village is nice with stunning views, but you will need a certain fitness level to get back up the hills.We definitely recommend a spend in this house, there is so much space and the large garden is a guarantee, that all guests will have their rest and some place to find some peace.5 Stars!

We had a fantastic time at the villa in Cotignac. We were two families and the villa had everything we needed. We loved the outdoor kitchen area by the pool, and the table tennis table. The air conditioning worked well, and the villa is well equipped overall. It was also great to walk into Cotignac along the beautiful pathway, to visit the market and the various shops and restaurants. François was an excellent host, very responsive.

This was a great stay in a fantastic and well equipped villa. We stayed during a heatwave and the whole villa benefits from high quality air conditioning and thick walls. The town is a 15 minute walk away, which may not suit elderly people or infants due to the hills, but otherwise it was no issue. The road to get to the house is a narrow track, so it probably isn’t one for a nervous driver. Francois is an incredibly communicative and responsive host, he lives opposite and was very helpful as and when required. Even after the visit locating a child’s toy. The outdoor kitchen is great but we didn’t feel like using it much during the heat wave! There is a big garden which is fenced, which was enough to contain our small dogs but larger inquisitive dogs may run off as there are lots of things to sniff!

Fantastic stay in a fantastic house. Perfect for 2 families travelling together. Great location close to old little town with lots of restaurants etc.

The villa is just perfect, a hidden gem!Francois and Sylvie are perfect hosts and charming people.The pool and the pool area is superb, air conditioning in the villa is a god send.We had planned to venture to Aiux and Menton, the villa setting is so nice we didn’t go further than the village! We really didn’t want to leave and look forward to returning soon.

We had a wonderful stay at Le Durroc. The villa was even better than the pictures. We pretty much lived around the fabulous pool area. The outdoor kitchen was superb and we cooked all of our meals outside. The grounds are very well maintained and compliment the stunning location. Francois was exceedingly helpful and on hand to answer any questions. We loved our daily walks into Cotingac. The little town has pretty much everything you need and has markets on almost daily. Fabulous for eating out, although do book if you are planning to eat out on Wednesday evening as we struggled to get a table as there is an evening market on during the summer months. We will definitely be back!!

This was our 3rd time staying here , and again we had an amazing 2 weeks. The house is well equipped with everything we needed. François, as before, met us on arrival, to ensure we were happy with everything. The outside area is where we spent most of the time. The pool is so good, and needed, as it was hot and sunny almost every day. There is also a shadier area at the back. Francois is a great host, always replies very quickly to any enquiries, and is very helpful and keen to ensure we had the best time. Cotignac is a beautiful village with plenty of good restaurants and shops, and a bonus that you can use the path to walk there in around 7 minutes. Without doubt, our favourite place to stay!

We truly had a perfect vacation at this beautiful house! We were welcomed very friendly and flexible in time and everything was explained thoroughly. The house is stunning and has everything you need. Especially the pool area with its additional outside kitchen is a huge plus. You have sun until the late evening and it’s a great atmosphere. The house is very well equipped with everything you need. The garden is beautifully maintained with lots of olive trees and nice places to sit and relax surrounded by a beautiful landscape. Walking down to the village of Cotignac is easily reached in about 10 minutes and the amazing scenery never gets boring. Cotignac is a beautiful, pittoresk little town with everything you need. Many restaurants and shops, including a little supermarket and a great bakery. We recommend the house 100%, not only because it’s simply beautiful but also because we felt very welcome and François was helpful and a perfect host. We definitely plan on coming back! The house was exactly as promised, large secure garden was ideal. Holiday exceeded our expectations. Francois was most welcoming and helpful. Highly recommended and would definitely like to return.
