17°West – Holiday villa (option with heated pool)

We had a wonderful stay. The sunsets were exceptional every night.

Our first visit to this gorgeous island. The villa was well equipped, very clean and had amazing views. Jorge and his family were very helpful and friendly. There are a couple of restaurants and a small shop that are walkable but everything else is a drive away so would recommend a hire car as essential. We had an amazing holiday and would love to return someday.

We had a wonderful stay at this amazing villa. The villa was equipped with everything we needed and was lovely and spacious. The beds were comfortable and we appreciated the thick curtains to stop children waking too early. The children particularly loved the pool and we enjoyed being able to relax on the loungers and outdoor seating whilst they were splashing about. The views from the master bedroom balcony were lovely and we spent every evening up there after the children had gone to bed watching the ever changing sky - blissful! We enjoyed being able to get down quickly to Calheta to go to the beach and the easy accessibility to everywhere on the island that we wanted to visit. The local shop is also very handy and has pretty much everything you could need. We also had a delicious evening meal at the local vineyard. Jorge was very responsive for anything we needed and gave us some excellent recommendations of places to eat and visit - the whale watching tour he recommended was an absolute highlight for all of us. Overall, a brilliant stay!

Incredible house

Best holiday villa we have ever stayed in! The villa was so spacious, well equipped, clean and comfortable. The view from the villa’s infinity swimming pool was truly stunning! We received a very warm welcome from Jorge on our arrival to the villa. Jorge was extremely helpful and gave us excellent recommendations for nearby restaurants and places of interest to visit on the beautiful island of Madeira. The villa is only a 5 minute drive from Calheta beach and marina. We were spoiled for choice! Thank you for a wonderful holiday

We loved our stay at 17 West. The views were stunning. We even saw whales out at sea through the binoculars one day. You have to have a car to stay here, but we would highly recommend having a car to properly explore the island. We used the local supermarket and shop and the larger supermarket in Calheta to do a bigger shop. The kitchen had everything we needed and we used the bbq in the garden one night. The bottle of wine and crisps and juice was a nice touch when we arrived too. The villa was very clean and comfortable. The bedrooms are large and all have lovely views and balconies. The beds are huge and comfortable. We did use the aircon in the rooms only when we went to bed as it was quite humid overnight and also to keep it quieter with the local cockerels in the morning. So we all slept very well. We also really enjoyed the pool. It isn’t heated but being summer it was a lovely refreshing temperature. Jorge who was the local villa manager was very friendly and helpful and answered any questions quickly. He also helped to tell us where to go when our daughter got an ear infection and we needed to see a doctor. We loved the island and would love to visit again one day.

We had a very nice vacation. The view was spectacular, and we enjoyed the lavada’s in area.

We had a wonderful stay at the house. It was very clean, cozy and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. We can recommend this house, there was really nothing to complain about! We would love to stay there again in the future.
