Stayed Jul 16, 2023We had to meet the caretaker in the town and followed him to the property. The caretaker let us all in and started showing us around. At first looks, the property looked ok. My son went into one of the bedrooms and came running out saying that there was a large bug on the wall. I went to investigate and did see the bug. I went and told other family members. They went to look and said it was a cockroach. I showed the caretaker the cockroach and the caretaker admitted that the property had a cockroach infestation. Also upon entering the property, I was told that there was a charge for electricity and that the garbage needed to be taken somewhere off site. None of these things were disclosed before making the reservation. No one wanted to stay at this property for a week with cockroaches! We only stayed overnight at the property. We did find multiple cockroaches and took pictures and videos. The bedroom that I stayed in with my wife had a large cockroach in it the next morning. Yuck! There was no water in the morning - could not flush toilets or take showers. The water did eventually come back right before we left. Also the internet did not work. After conversations with the caretaker and the owner on the evening we arrived after finding the cockroaches and that the family was very unhappy and disgusted, the owner agreed to refund the the reservation. We did receive a refund, but not for the total amount that was paid. I believe that I was charged for 1 night.

Stayed Jun 24, 2023We had an excellent week at Dar Hugo with our family. A peacefull place to enjoy our family. Simo was always available to assist us. Was definetly a good journey.
