Zion’s Tiny Getaway is Southern Utah’s unique basecamp near Zion National Park. Stay in handcrafted tiny homes with private decks, BBQs, red-rock views, and star-filled skies. Many homes offer private hot tubs, and select units are dog-friendly. Enjoy world-class mountain biking on Gooseberry Mesa, Sand Hollow adventures, and nearby hiking trails. The perfect escape for Zion explorers, riders, and desert dreamers.

The Space:

Welcome to MoodLit(#11), a sleek and modern tiny home designed for travelers who love clean lines, natural light, and thoughtful comfort. With its spacious layout, abundant windows, and electric skylights, MoodLit feels bright, open, and effortlessly relaxing - the perfect place to recharge after a day of exploring.

Inside, you’ll find a beautifully crafted space with a full kitchen, large bathroom, cozy living area, and multiple skylights for sunrise mornings and star-filled nights. Sleep comes easy on premium queen mattresses - one in the loft and another integrated into the custom main-level couch, ideal for guests who prefer to avoid ladders.

MoodLit includes wireless internet, a big-screen TV, USB outlets throughout, and all the essentials for cooking or unwinding. Grill dinner on the private deck, curl up with a book, or watch the stars overhead.

Every detail was designed to make your stay calm, comfortable, and restorative - a modern desert retreat you’ll look forward to returning to each night.

Before you book: Part of the tiny home charm here is the sleeping loft, reached by a staircase or ladder with a cozy ceiling height. It is not the right fit for everyone. If you would rather skip the stairs, several of our homes have the bed on the main floor. Just filter for Bed on Main Floor under Amenities.

Guest Access:

You’ll have full access to your tiny home, the outdoor deck, and convenient parking directly beside the unit. Feel free to explore our shared park space, enjoy the wide-open desert views, and plug in at our on-site Tesla charger. With endless public lands just steps away, adventure begins the moment you arrive. If anything comes up during your stay, we’re only a message away and happy to help.

The Neighborhood:

Zion’s Tiny Getaway sits in the heart of Southern Utah’s canyon country, where red-rock cliffs, open desert, and dark night skies create a stunning backdrop for your stay. Our tiny home community is located just off Highway 59, so you may notice some road activity as you arrive - but the homes back up to sweeping red-rock views and a quiet residential area, offering a peaceful place to unwind once you’re settled in.

Apple Valley itself is a small, rural desert town with virtually no light pollution, making it perfect for stargazing. You’re also a short drive from the larger hubs of Hurricane, Utah, and Colorado City, Arizona, where you’ll find grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations, and all the essentials for your adventures. With Zion National Park, Gooseberry Mesa, Sand Hollow, and countless trails and viewpoints within easy reach, this location puts you right in the middle of Southern Utah’s best scenery and outdoor experiences.

Getting Around:

A car is the best way to explore Southern Utah’s wide-open spaces, and you’ll have convenient parking right beside your tiny home. Bikes are absolutely welcome - this area is a dream for riders. Gooseberry Mesa, one of the world’s premier mountain biking destinations, is just a quick 6-minute drive away, with miles of trails and public lands to discover. Whether you’re cruising scenic highways or hitting desert singletrack, adventure is never far from your door.

Other Things to Note:

Most guests visit us for Zion National Park, but Southern Utah offers far more than one iconic destination. From our tiny home community, you’re within easy reach of some of the region’s most breathtaking landscapes: Bryce Canyon National Park, Grand Canyon North Rim, Coral Pink Sand Dunes, Sand Hollow State Park, Snow Canyon, Gooseberry Mesa, and Pipe Spring National Monument—all roughly 20 minutes to 2 hours away.

The area is a playground for outdoor lovers, with endless opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, boating, sand-dune adventures, swimming, stargazing, and scenic photography.

A can’t-miss local gem is Water Canyon, just 20 minutes from the property. This free, beginner-friendly hike leads through towering canyon walls to a beautiful waterfall—an unforgettable experience before or after your Zion adventure.

Your stay at Zion’s Tiny Getaway puts you at the center of Southern Utah’s best trails, viewpoints, and desert experiences, making it the perfect base for exploring the region.

Very responsive owners. Was able to get extra chairs for the deck within 15 minutes. Only downside was low water pressure, this might be because they are in well water, I believe. The place was clean and fit our needs great.
