The property matched the ad. It was very clean, had the appropriate conveniences, 2 zone AC with separate thermos. Fished and crabbed off the lower deck and dock. Successfully tied our 19.5ft boat in the U section of the dock out of the main current. Ample parking. Beautiful sunsets. Great communication with the host Henri. Large classically styled great room with tall ceilings. Enormous bed in the master. We did not use the hot tub but Henri had it running/heated throughout our stay. He even put 2 large bags of ice in our freezer and baited the two large crab pots before we arrived.

Henry and Petra are truly 5-star hosts—attentive, welcoming, and thoughtful throughout our stay. The property itself was the perfect escape: peaceful, with stunning views from every angle, and plenty of space to spread out and relax. Whether we were sipping coffee on the deck or enjoying quiet evenings inside, we felt completely at ease. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful setting. We’ll definitely be back!

Place was amazing. Host made place available to us earlier as our plane landed early, and also offered us couple more nights because the weather at the end of trip was not great. The place is better than advertised. If I am ever in New Orleans again this is where I will stay.

This property was absolutely beautiful, from sunrise to sunset! Lots of seating inside & out! Seating for 10 at the beautiful wood kitchen table. Saw an alligator swimming by from the upper deck! Cozy swings downstairs, kayaks & dart board. Kitchen well stocked. The host let us check in early from our red eye flight and set up crab traps for us! Absolutely loved this stay! The sunrises and sunsets were spectacular!

This property is in a great location, away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to get to any of the attractions you would like to visit. The house is very comfortable and homey. Henry was a delight to deal with and so friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone.

We stayed for eleven nights, with my son’s family joining us for part of the time. Our two grandchildren (ages 7 and 10) especially loved the house’s peaceful waterside location. Each day they couldn’t wait to check the crab traps to see what they might have caught. They also really enjoyed fishing and watching the shrimp boats and barges going past the house. Day trips from the house were typically 30 minutes or less. We would highly recommend the Cajun Encounters swamp tour—even the adults who were initially reluctant to go had a fabulous time. We visited New Orleans a number of times and spent a lot of time at City Park. They have a lovely branch of Cafe du Monde there, which is just as wonderful as the busy original near Jackson Square, but much more relaxing. Also, if you are traveling with a dog, consider buying a short term pass for NOLA City Bark, which is available for purchase online. It’s also located in City Park, and is without a doubt the largest and prettiest dog park we have ever visited. Henry and Petra were wonderful hosts and quickly responded to any questions we had about the house and the area. We all had a great time and would not hesitate to stay again if we get the chance!

We got married this weekend and stayed out here for the entire wedding weekend. The place was perfect. Henry the host was incredibly gracious and helped ENSURE our wedding weekend was perfect. We spent two days following our wedding just relaxing out at the house, on the deck,, watching alligators pass. My family came in from out of town and they got the full Louisiana experience out there. They preferred being out there versus being in the city. Best weekend of my life.

This is a beautiful property, right on the water, with crab traps too! We had a wonderful time at this house. We are close enough to New Orleans for a short drive into the city to explore, but far away enough from all the hustle and bustle. We caught a few crabs from the traps, and the kids loved poking at them. The property owners were very responsible via texts. Overall, a wonderful family vacation. One note for future vacationers: pick up a few jugs of spring water on your way in. The well water the house uses has a typical coastal water taste, so if you aren't used to it, just get a few jugs of water from Walmart as you pick up groceries on the way in.
