I love this house! It is my z favorite vacation and i look forward to coming here every summer. The deck is great for sunny evenings and the yard is big enough for a dog to run around.
Wonderful week!! Beautiful weather. Really lovely cottage!!
We enjoyed our stay at the house immensely. It was a great fenced in yard that was enjoyed by my youngest and our dog. The deck was just private enough that we enjoyed meals and board games on it. Also, access to the salt pond was very cool!
We loved the little cottage with the large deck and yard. Our dog loved it too. However we had trouble with ants in the kitchen. I texted the office twice. They said they would help, but they never came. We faught with ants every morning.
It's very cute and tidy. Nice outdoor show. Pleasant hady sitting area. The back yard is great for a dog. The owners need to replace the gate so there's not a large opening between the gate and the fence where a dog can escape. Ours did. We got her back. But unless the gap is dealt with we wouldn't rent there again. But overall we liked it.
Located close to beaches and ferry terminal. Nice size deck and yard. Had a very pleasant stay!
Check in was easy and the place was great and so close to the water and to everything that Narragansett has to offer! Would rent again for sure! My dog loved the huge yard to play and run around in. That is a plus for renting!
Step back to the 50’s in this small typical summer cottage of that era. Located in a convenient, quiet neighborhood amidst many already remodeled or rebuilt homes. Plumbing and appliances worked fine (note: no dishwasher ?) Bathroom could use a new paint job and floor. AC in bedrooms worked fine. Plusses are: reasonably secure fenced large yard, outdoor shower, slider to deck (update online photo!!). Minuses are: couch is just sad, bed off living room needs replacing, single-serve coffee maker requiring coffee filters is just silly in a rental - get a 8-10 cup coffee maker, no vacuum available. We didn’t expect fancy and had great weather!
This property was cute and had a very nice yard for our dog who enjoyed it very much. The cleanliness was definitely lacking, however. The floors were the worst. I mopped several times and it seemed as if the floors hadn't been mopped in months. The people from Narragansett Properties were very supportive when we told them and offered to send a cleaning crew back out. But, I had already taken care of it myself. The house itself is tired and would definitely benefit from some updates. Some freshness (paint and remodeled bath especially) would bring a lot more life to this cute beach home. I loved that it had a washer and dryer. It was great for beach towels. The location is very convenient. I gave it four stars just because our family would like to be closer to the Town Beach vs. the State Beach. But, that is just our preference. Other than that, it is a small home. I think it's a great rental home for a young family with smaller children or a couple. It was definitely a tight space for our family given that my girls are 15 and 13, my husband is 6'1 and we had our dog with us as well.
House was not cleaned prior to our arrival, it was filthy, run down (and this is no exaggeration) toilet wasn't working properly plumber had to come twice. Bathroom was horrendous, the rest stop bathroom was cleaner. No central air. Had to disinfect window airconditioners, and literally had to take apart and wash bedroom fan. Property manager had to send a crew of cleaners to come in. Couch and chair in living room full of stains. Fan in living room stopped working. 77 degrees in livingroom and kitchen area. Box spring was filthy with stains and had to be removed and replaced with a new frame. Toaster and coffee maker were so gross property manager had to replace them both. Property manager (thanks Evan!) was excellent and addressed all issues in a timely manner.
We chose this property because we wanted our pets with us for a short getaway. Their comfort and safety is #1 and finding an ideal pet friendly property can be challenging anywhere. This properties yard is very pet friendly (the room for improvement is to upgrade or repair the fence, mentioned in previous reviews but very important to dog people is a secure yard ) The house is clean and comfortable but could use updates on the bathroom which is actually a 3(time for a new shower surround + tile. you can't keep putting caulk over it and expect a clean review) We know property upkeep is expensive but throwing a covering on a deck won't mask a deck that's time has past. (also a tripping hazard). We appreciate that the owner brought new furniture (couch chair). Another pet peeve Dad likes to have the wifi /cable password spelled out (on your greeting in house) We should not have to pull out +look under router with readers on the to find it) little thing= easy fix! Outdoor shower a huge + (needs some hooks for towels) Hamock is the guy nap accessory! +++ NIce view of water from deck , enjoyed sunset + am coffee there. This property is a great little place in the middle of Narragansett...everything close . Thank you for giving us a great little getaway for us and our dogs.
The location is great. The kitchen has the cookware and things needed for cooking and eating. The kitchen and patio were great. The living room had a good size TV with many channels. The couch is very worn with several holes. There are 2 chairs in the living area that have also seen better days. There were 2 bedrooms, both have ac window units. We used the side by the living room. It slept great. We brought our own sheets and towels vs using the rental company. The bathroom contained the compact washer and dryer which worked well and was very helpful during our stay. The bathroom is due renovations. The messy placed caulking in the tub has many black areas at the handle, water diverters, the water spout, etc. The tub also has a low spot near the sink, need to be careful when taking a standing shower. The room could use a refresh of paint. The toilet handle is known to stick with the taped warning sign. We did not have any issues with it. This house has a good size yard and is great for dogs or kids. It was quiet and there were many bunnies out playing.
