Lindsay Way is your perfect get-a-way for your Maine vacation!

Enjoy the outdoors to hike, breathe in the fresh Maine air, stargaze, kayak, swim, and so much more!

Lindsay Way Retreat is a cozy townhome tucked off the main road just outside Bar Harbor town center. It’s your perfect, quiet location to unwind and relax after taking in the sites. Fast internet, books, games, TVs, and private outdoor space.

There is a four-night minimum stay required. Seven nights during peak season (July and August - Sunday to Sunday) Weekly discounts available.

Lindsay Way's location makes it easy and convenient to get everywhere either by car or the free Island Explorer bus! Acadia National Park Visitor Center is less than 10 minutes away. Head in to Bar Harbor or branch off to explore the other side of Mount Desert Island (MDI) to Southwest Harbor (and the quiet side of the island). Or, head over to the Schoodic peninsula and Winter Harbor to explore more of the Maine wilderness. Wherever you go, you'll come back to a quiet, comfy and cozy home stocked with everything you need.

About Lindsay Way: One of two townhome units, means you have plenty of quiet time and a personal outdoor area with BBQ and picnic table.

Inside welcomes you with bright living room with new couch and comfy chairs, HDTV and more to enjoy time together. The separate dining area with large table has room for all to enjoy meals together. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to make your favorite dishes, plus find the washer/dryer, and a ½ bath.

Upstairs are 3 roomy bedrooms, including the master with king bed, HDTV, and ensuite bathroom. Two additional bedrooms include one with a queen bed, and one with 2 twin beds. Each roomy enough to unpack and spread out. These two bedrooms share the hall bathroom, which has tub/shower combo.

Outside you'll find a BBQ grill to coo upk a meal and hang together around the picnic table. The area is shaded but allows stunning views of the amazing night sky! There's plenty of space to spread out, play catch or frisbee etc.

Another great feature of Lindsay Way - free and spacious parking! You can even leave the car at home and hop on the free Island Explorer bus, which runs mid-June until mid-October. The Explorer is super-convenient and goes everywhere around downtown and Acadia so you don't have to deal with traffic, finding parking in the park, or pay to park in Bar Harbor.

Nearby, you'll be within walking or biking distance to many activities - there's something for everyone: launch kayaks or swim at Hadley Point Beach, less than 1 mile away. Enjoy a flatbread pizza and other fresh food at Sweet Pea's Farm Kitchen, and satisfy your lobster cravings at C-Ray Lobster Pound - all just a few minutes-walk or bike ride away. And in a 5-minute drive top off your evening and have fun at Pirate's Cove Mini Golf, featuring two fun-themed courses!

Back at home, window air conditioners provide comfort during the summer months, and a garage is available for your vehicle or bikes upon request.

Nice clean house, close to the park and Bar Harbor. Beds very comfortable. My big complaint was the kitchen was very poorly equipped. I guess the assumption is made that visitors will eat meals out and not cook. The list of just basic missing items long. I would definitely stay here again, I would just bring my own kitchen utensils.

The house was lovely :) had a great week celebrating our anniversary and husband birthday! The one downside was the sofa was uncomfortable (sleeper sofa so they are uncomfortable to begin with) and it seemed like the upstairs didnt have any heat (we like it cold so it was perfect for us). Other than that, it was a great week. I would definitely stay here again. She had everything we needed for a great stay! Loved that we were close to Acadia national park. It was a great week and i would recommend anyone to stay here :)

We really loved the easy access to the park and restaurants from where we stayed and also the comfortable place to land and get cleaned up after hiking. We also appreciated having the kitchen and bathroom basics provided. (Towels, hand soaps and dish soaps, toilet paper and paper towels) We prepared and ate quite a few meals at the house so having pots and pans etc was great too. There were also quite a few extras, some that we used and others we didn’t need but would be great for families with younger children (floor fans, high chair and playpen). The only thing we would have liked was a bigger couch in the living room as we were a group of 6 and there was only comfortable seating for 5. Dining room seating was close by but with the sun setting early we spent a decent amount of time catching an evening sporting event or movie as a family and would have been nice to have an extra seat or two. Really not a deal breaker just a thought. The house was on a quiet street with great food, Putt putt golf nearby and a short drive to many towns and hikes. 12-15 mins to Bar Harbor, 20 mins to Southwest Harbor, 10-20 mins to the visitor center and quite a few trail heads. Loved Acadia! Already thinking of a repeat trip. Thank you!!

The location is great. It is close to Acadia National Park offering several routes to activities in the park and on Mt Desert Island. It is also just 10 miles from Trenton on the mainland. The listing is accurate. While there is an adjoining rental unit which was occupied during our stay, we never noticed any noise from the adjacent unit. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed for cooking. The beds are very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

We recently stayed at this rental and really appreciated the location—it’s on a quiet street but still super convenient to both Acadia National Park and downtown Bar Harbor. We loved being so close to everything without the noise or crowds. That said, the home itself is in need of some care. It feels quite worn and could benefit from a deep cleaning and some maintenance. For example, the kitchen faucet leaked whenever it was turned on high, and several of the walls had patchwork but hadn’t been repainted yet. The stove dials were so worn that we couldn’t read the temperature settings, which made cooking a bit tricky. The biggest issue for us, though, was the presence of bugs—especially upstairs. Each night, we found numerous bugs in the bedrooms and bathrooms, more than what you would expect, which made it hard to fully relax. We were there for the heat wave and a/c in each room worked great! Overall, we enjoyed the area and the peaceful location, but with some updates and a bit more attention to cleanliness and upkeep, this home could be a much more comfortable place to stay.

Property was absolutely great! This was probably the first property that we’ve stayed in that literally had everything that you can imagine from the shampoo soap that was provided to the many different spices in the cabinet. The location was great for Bar Harbor and Acadia. Would certainly recommend this place and would stay again.

Never mentioned that there were many steep stairs not conducive to the elderly or physically unable to go upstairs to the bedrooms and showers. No safety bars in bathrooms or porch. We never were required to strip beds and bring bed linens down stairs before Leaving. We were very uncomfortable as one member of our group had to sleep on the couch and could not get a shower so we left a day early.

Our host dialed up great weather for us and the location of the home was central to us enjoying the national park. Easy for us to drive to all parts of Acadia. Able to get to different activities from this spot as well.
