This beautiful Lake James home was the perfect place for our family vacation! The setting has the best view on the entire lake, the kitchen is a dream and very well stocked, the beds are very comfortable. We had a great week with children and grandchildren and would definitely go back!

The panoramic view was breathtaking! The huge windows and view of the lake/mtns really make this property a unique gem. We enjoyed walking throughout the neighborhood, floating in the lake, and playing billiards on the fantastic screened porch.

We really enjoyed our stay this week. The house fit our family perfectly. We had a great time on the lake during the day and then enjoyed playing pool in the evenings. It was just a really great family time! Don't hesitate to book this place, you won't regret it!

Wow! We enjoyed breakfast, lunch, and dinner with an amazing view of the mountains and lake. The view on the deck is spectacular but if it was too hot or rainy, the beautiful windows allowed the view to continue inside. We rented the boat for a few days and enjoyed touring the lake. Checkin/out was easy and communication with the property owner was great. We had a wonderful stay.

This place was beautiful! Everything was just like pictures showed. We loved the outdoor areas and pool table. Kitchen was great for preparing Thanksgiving meal for 8 adults and one infant. We also loved the views from the living room. Would definitely stay here again!

I've been renting houses on Vrbo for almost 20 years and this was one of my favorites. View, location, house, amenities and host you couldn't ask for more. If your a cook you will love the big well equipped kitchen. Karin was great, rent the boat!!!!

Absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful house on Lake James!! The house was well stocked and set up for our stay, nice and clean, and the perfect amount of space for our family vacation. Everything all around was fantastic, we can’t wait to come back to this house in the future!!

The house was extremely clean and well stocked. We had everything we needed and then some. The view from the top deck was breathtaking. Couldn’t ask for a better view to take in while sipping my morning coffee. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

It is so amazing we had to come back. Words cant describe. It’s a must see and the place to be for sunsets. You wont be disappointed.

First time to Lake James and very glad we chose this property. It was well maintained and clean. More than enough kitchen items to make any meal (we cook a lot). A slide and diving board were recently added to the property and the kids loved it! Communication with the host was very good; friendly with quick responses that answered our questions. The only concern I would point out are the steps going to boat dock. They are very cumbersome to navigate and somewhat unstable depending on your physical condition. Most of it is due to the topography of the land, but make sure you are ready to carry coolers, floats, etc. up and down 100 stairs - quite the workout!

The house and property were beautiful! The view of the lake was amazing; we enjoyed coffee on the deck in the morning and watching the stars in the evening. The furniture in the house was excellent; very comfortable chairs and beds. There is plenty of room to spread out, but also great gathering spots for family time. The den downstairs was perfect for enjoying family movies. The kitchen was amazing and there was tons of seating options. The stairs to the lake definitely gave us our daily exercise! The location of the house and on the lake is quite private; we almost never heard or saw the neighbors. Overall, it was a perfect house for a relaxing stay with our family of 5.

The house was one of the nicest we’ve stayed in, plenty of room for three families. Our 3 and 4 year old kids loved swimming and using the slide. The hosts were quick to fix a problem with the water pump for the slide and very responsive to any questions. The kitchen is very well stocked and we used the grill as well. The house is also not a really long drive in, unlike some properties on the lake. We’re already talking about when we can come back.

Visited home on Memorial Day weekend. Cannot say enough great things. Location: Lake James is very large, deep lake, but with state park and camping facilities on a large portion, the houses are limited compared to other lakes and crowds are very light. Easy to reach just a few miles off highway. House: One of the best stocked houses ever stayed in with almost anything you could need. Very comfortably housed 2 families of 5 in 4 bedrooms. Fully stocked kitchen, games, bedrooms. Outdoor fireplace on a turf grass backyard with large wood storage. Expansive outdoor deck with ample seating and a covered porch with pool table. High up on cliff overlooking beautiful section of lake. Activities: Long stairway down to dock area. May be difficult for anyone with challenges walking up stairs. Paddle Boards, Kayaks, extra seating, diving board and slide all on dock provided hours of fund. Owner will rent personal boat / jet ski to guests only for additional fee (docked right at house). Already looking into booking again. Spent most of the time on lake, but drove 25 min to Linville Wilderness area for hiking and stopped at Fonta Flora brewery and farm on way back. Keep the lake a secret as long as can.
