We very much enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house at the end of Water Street. It is ideally suited for viewing of the Old Sow turbulence. I don't think there could be a better viewpoint from the American side. There are at least three lighthouses which can be seen from the house, and both the rising and setting of the sun. And then there's the Bald Eagle which likes to sit on Dog Island and think about life for hours every day.
The property was lovely and well-appointed. It was the perfect get-a-way for us! Beautiful sunsets and sunrises! The house had everything!
If you are looking for a serene escape it doesn’t get any better than this. The meticulously kept house is located at the end of a quite cull da sac which provides you with endless, unobstructed panoramic ocean views. Inside the house is an understated, cozy and clean place for everyone to gather comfortably. The spacious kitchen was fully stocked many of the items from home you may need should you decide to cook- spices, kitchen utensils, and serving wear. Most importantly a coffee pot and filters. The layout of the house worked perfectly for our family of four and the set of grandparents in tow. Both the first floor and second floor flowed beautifully- with every room boasting a gorgeous ocean view. The back deck was an oasis in the morning as you sipped coffee and listened to the birds and the sounds of the ocean. It was a respite in the afternoons after hiking, whale watching or exploring the beaches. In terms of location this house was perfect. You can get down town in about a three minute drive. Which means you are close to the grocery store, can browse the quaint shops, taste some local beer, catch a whale watch boat and eat at the few restaurants available. Further away you can access the Roosevelt Campobella State Park in Canada or stay state side and check out the Quoddy Head State Park in Lubec. This is a place we would return to time and time again to create lasting memories.
