Hermosa Beach, California
We are putting our home up for rent for the remainder of 2020. As such, we would prefer a single family to stay and enjoy the rest of the year with a minimum of transitions. As such, we are offering a 10% discount for 1 month; 20% discount for 2 months; 30% discount for 3 months, and 40% discount for 4 months (but that is all - we will be very ready to come back to start 2021!). This is one of the very best times at the beach - the fall months have the best weather, no June gloom, and very few crowds.
For those who don't already know, Hermosa Beach is truly one of the most beautiful beaches in Southern California (Reader's Digest Best Beach in US award), and it is just 2-3 blocks away from the home. Swimming, surfing, kayaking, biking, volleyball - whatever your desire, it's just a couple minutes walk away.
With the current work from home / covid pandemic situation, we have upgraded our multiple outdoor living areas (front deck, rooftop deck, etc) as well as invested thousands of dollars into our wifi to enable all six of us to simultaneously be online with our work and school, so if you're in a similar situation, you'll be all set.
When you're not working, we've got beach chairs, soft top surfboard, boogie boards, beach towels, and anything else you would want for your beach enjoyment. We are almost exactly midway between the Hermosa and Manhattan Piers, so some of the best shopping and restaurants are an easy walk away - now with outdoor dining and a great walking community.
Our home is located on a prime corner lot of a rare "walkstreet" in a quiet neighborhood at the northern end of Hermosa Beach - right adjacent to the Manhattan Beach border. The house is on the flat part of a walk street where kids can skateboard, play a pick up game of whatever, or color with chalk.
The rooftop deck has a hot tub and endless workout pool that provides hours of entertainment for kids and adults alike. Part of the private rooftop deck has stools dining with a beautiful view down the walkstreet to the beach. The city lights and sunset views should not be missed from the hot tub.
The front deck has a fire pit and water feature with is perfect for relaxing around, and there is a patio table and 8 chairs ideal for al fresco dining right outside the nano doors from the living room.
We feature an open floor plan downstairs for the living areas, where the kitchen was featured in a magazine. We have a study with a great ocean breeze for people to do their work at desks while overlooking the rest of the downstairs. Upstairs we have our bedrooms, with a master suite where the bathroom was likewise featured in a magazine.
The house is equidistant via a short stroll from Robinson school, Valley Park, and the beach - with an adorable neighborhood grocery store en route to grab your last minute bottle of wine or meats to grill for dinner.
And for those who still desire accessibility, it takes just 15-20 minutes to access LAX Airport and local freeways.
