I have stayed at many different VRBO locations, and I have to say that this was one of the best. The thoughtfulness of the host was out of this world. From the fresh baked bread, to the continental breakfast, to the snacks and hot tub, this place had it all. I look forward to going back in the future.

We were so excited to provide a lovely retreat for our daughter's wedding bower. We thought to rent it so she could get ready there and relax before the wedding at our house in Olympia. When we attempted to get into the property, the code was wrong, and there was no internet because the property is far away from town, so I couldn't email Danica and get in easily. Being that we are not a family with a lot of money (we saved up to afford this place, and it IS beautiful) and only one car, we only had the one shot to drop her off before meeting the person with the flowers and get back to prepare for the ceremony. Danica reached us, but there was nothing we could do at that point, so we didn't drop off the B and G until after the wedding, nearly midnight. We left them to enjoy the space and sleep, knowing they would be getting on the plane the next day, and we would have one chance to see them for breakfast. We picked them up early at their request, so they would have time to go back to the space and enjoy the spa before leaving at 11am. We got a message saying that they went in early bc they didn't see a car! They messaged that they didn't like that they used extra blankets from a cabinet, even though their handbook SAID to get them from there, and that we owed them another $180 because the lock on the cabinet was broken. I got the blankets out MYSELF the night before- the cabinet door was unlocked and I certianly did not force it! The total was over $544 for 7hrs of sleep...

Our stay at Woodsy Retreat was magical! Woodsy Retreat is a clean, cozy, comfortable nest in a rain forest setting. We were greeted by chorusing tree frogs as we walked down the path to the entrance, then felt the warmth of the gas-fired fireplace as we opened the door. There was an abundance of snack foods, a loaf of freshly baked bread, sumptuous pastries, assorted hot beverages and cheeses for a continental breakfast, and wine and beer. We enjoyed playing pool, the very comfortable beds, the rain shower showerhead, and sitting outside in the evening, listening to the frogs, an owl, subtle wind chimes and watching the trees , lit by spotlight , dancing in the wind. We will have to come back again to try the hot tub.

Phillip and Danica are incredible hosts! They have thought of everything possible for the most comfortable stay. From walking sticks to makeup removal wipes, a fully stocked coffee and tea bar, PLUS a cheese board and freshly baked bread and pastries. Besides the multiple great outdoor spaces to enjoy the wildlife, there were games and a pool table which we enjoyed too.I had plans in town so spent limited time on the park trails. I will return just to enjoy the park and the property.

The Woodsy Retreat is just that - a lovely retreat. The hosts provide generous and yummy treats, along with an awesome coffee/tea bar. The space was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Both the gas fireplace and outdoor hot tub are welcomed amenities, especially after venturing along the trails. Would definitely return.

Ideal private quiet location for a dreamy getaway. Beautiful comfy cozy presentation. Lots of yummy food and beverage selections.Hot tub, woods, owls hooting, comfy beds. Several options for lounging around relaxing, reading, enjoying yourself and or company. We will definitely be back to enjoy this retreat.

Exceeded our expectations. The house was so cozy and inviting. Beds were very comfortable.The kitchen was incredibly well equipped with everything you would need to make meals. Owners included a coffee/tea/hot chocolate bar to accommodate anyone’s taste. Continental breakfast pastries and home made bread. They also provided snacks which was such a nice surprise.We enjoyed the hot tub and the outdoor sitting area (although is had snowed). I am sure it would be even nicer when the weather is warmer. Took a short hike on the trail to the park. Beautiful trees and wildlife. Owl made a showing.We only stayed one night but wished we could have stayed longer.This was such a gem.

If you’re looking for a place to stay, you need to book this one! The hosts are so caring and accommodating to their clients. My girlfriends and I had a lovely night in the hot tub, followed by playing pool and other board games. The beverages and complimentary food they provide was so thoughtful. They literally have everything you could need in a place. Definitely recommend!

The feeling was breathtaking,I have copd and struggled with oxygen for the last ten years. I chose the place because it would beIt seemed quiet. And yet, if I wanted to try, there were things to do.

Absolutely wonderful space. From the thoughtful welcome sign to the generous continental breakfast. My partner and I enjoyed the hot tube and unique whimsical outdoor spa. It was the perfect getaway for rest and rejuvenation. We will be back.

This is our third visit! We are two teacher friends who stay for a creative retreat, time away from home and obligations to write. This place is so warm and welcoming and has everything you need and more. Tucked in the beautiful woods, there is a trail to Tolmie SP. However you brew your coffee, you will be happy. The hot tub is nestled in trees with a view of the stars.

What a great location and the host is so accommodating! The beds are super comfortable and loved waking up to pastries and coffee.

Absolutely love this place! Woodsy Retreat is much much more than just a retreat. It is a place of respite and refuge! My wife and I came back again in less than one year for another stay because of how special this place is. The level of hospitality shown by the hosts is unrivaled and unparalleled by any other vacation rental that we have stayed. We never left once during our stay and didn’t need to because of all the amenities, snacks and an astonishing coffee/tea bar. The intentionality in there hospitality was very unique and specific to our individual wants/likes such as “what drinks do you prefer?” Who does that! Private hot tub in a rainforest, fireplace, pool table, crisp and clean down feather comforters that make you sleep like a baby…. If you want a break from the world this is the place. Our hearts are full and spirits renewed . Looking forward to next time already. Wish I could rate more than 5 stars

Our stay was excellent! The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and exactly as described. The host was incredibly welcoming, responsive, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The homemade bread she baked and left for us was amazing! The location was convenient and peaceful, making it easy to relax and enjoy the area. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable stay — We will definitely book again!

Everything was pristine and beautiful! They had a lovely welcome message and chalkboard, snacks, a variety of cold drinks with chilled glasses and a coffee/tea bar that is seriously making rethink my life at home. Everything was so welcoming and accommodating.

What an incredible stay. Every tiny detail was carefully curated and thoughtful. I wish I had taken more/better photos, but the pictures do not do it justice anyway. It was very clean and the kingsize bed with the mattress topper was incredible. The snacks, pastries, fresh bread, and endless tea and coffee bar was so much more than expected and so deeply enjoyed. We hope to come back to experience other seasons. It was very quiet, private, and secluded, but the Danica was easy to reach if we needed anything. Thank you for an amazing escape.

A wonderful place to find some time to relax, and unwind. By far the best place we have had the pleasure of staying. It was clean, quiet, and everything they claimed.

The place was beautiful and very peaceful. Phil and Danica were so nice, and all the extras in the kitchen were outstanding! I was also a fan of the water. It was so pure and tasted great. The trails behind the house to the sound were so beautiful, and the outdoor living space was so comfortable and quiet. I would definitely stay here again!

This was a great home base while visiting family. The continental breakfast and coffee bar were delightful. We enjoyed the trail to the beach and the hot tub. Would be a PERFECT spot for a relaxing girls getaway.

Hosts were amazing! It was a perfect stay.It was quiet and peaceful, beds were very comfortable and slept great! The bathroom was immaculate! So many little things that made it outstanding. Perfect space for working remotely. Loved the coffee and a few goodies that hit the spot late at night and early in the morning. Definitely staying here again and would highly recommend the Woodsy!!!

My friend and I stayed here for two nights. It was very comfortable, clean and Danica had stocked it with loads of tempting treats as well as lots lovely things for breakfast. There were also more coffee and tea choices than I think I have ever seen in similar properties. The hot tub was a real delight and we enjoyed using it both nights. Unfortunately, we used all of our energy up walking around downtown Olympia and the Farmer's Market so didn't explore the lovely forest and beach behind the property. A good reason to return.

I have never stayed at a VRBO property that gave me so much peace and quiet. The amenities were above par. One thing we noted was the amazing snacks and continental breakfast provided by the owner. We had gotten in late and had not eaten, so this was a welcome surprise. I would definitely prefer to stay here than anywhere I researched.

Such a beautiful place! Loved the outdoor swing.

The property was amazing. The host had snacks next to the pool table. Also, there was a continental breakfast setup on the coffee bar along with cheeses and drinks in the refrigerator. There were plush robes and slippers to wear out to the hot tub, which was really nice since it was cool out. The trail out the backdoor to the state park trail was amazing. We had such an enjoyable time!

The property is beautiful, the pool table makes for a great evening of fun. The walk to the bed is very relaxing and the hot tub was sublime.

Woodsy Retreat, was absolutely perfect for us. The owners really go above and beyond with the little details. I particularly enjoyed their little coffee station. So many choices and delights. It had all the convienence of home with a freling if camping outside. Sleeping with the windows open listening to the frogs and the the rain come down in very vomfortable beds gave us the ability to get some real needed dwep rest. Highly recommend Woodsy retreat for a small family or a couples get away

Such a sweet place surrounded by forest. Everything was clean and spotless. The kitchen was very well stocked and fun to cook in. The beds were so comfortable. We heard a Great Horned Owl in the trees one night and the frogs symphony.

This is our first family stay in a Retreat like area and I have to say ... the pictures alone does not do this place justice! We were guided by a lighted pathway to the downstairs of a home and then opened the door with a lot of welcome-ness to our home for the next 2 nights! There is a sign with a beautiful message, continental breakfast and treats everywhere! The home was relaxing and all items in them was carefully picked out to make our stay a pleasant one! We did do the trail to the entrance of Tolmie State Park (30 minute trail for us) and the spa was already on and ready to go! It was too cold for us to use the outdoor shower but we would definitely use it when we book again in warmer weather!! Towels were plushy and heavy (felt nice on skin!) and shower very clean! Host communication was beyond phenomenal! Home was spotless, from the floors to the walls to the beds. It was soothing and nice to be hanging out in such a comfortable home! I wish I can say MORE about this place yet, my words are limited on my review! Thank you Host for being so gracious and wonderful and thank you for your astonishing home you have shared with the world!

We loved our stay at Woodsy Retreat. Our hosts had welcome drinks, crackers and cheeses, and a lovely continental breakfast ready and waiting for us! We loved the cozy decore and homey feel. The pool table was such a treat! We will rent this anazing place again.

We had a wonderful time and highly recommend it to others! The outside hot tub was a big hit, very private, and located adjacent to the forest, which is right outside the entrance, and offered easy access to trails. Inside was very spacious, with an open floor plan and two couches in the main room for group conversation. The gas stove in the corner provided a warm ambience. The generous host left a variety of snacks and breaded treats. It's in a quiet, rural neighborhood, but feels like you are miles away from civilization. Great getaway!

I have stayed at several rentals and this place was amazing! One of the best we have stayed at! The little extras was so nice and wonderful. The breakfast treats, coffee/tea bar etc. Even cold beer in fridge!? Everything was super clean. Beds wonderfully comfortable. Everything you need to cook amazing meals. Cant say enough good things about this place! Thank you so much for sharing your amazing space

If you’re looking for nature, this is the place. You can literally walk out the door and be on a hiking trail. The hosts were communicative throughout our stay. We were surprised by a number of unexpected treats, including continental breakfast, wine, cheese, bread and sweets. It was a nice surprise! The hosts are upstairs, but they're really quiet. We heard them moving around occasionally, but it wasn't a problem at all. The only slight negative was the pool table. Most of the cues didn't have tips, and the table isn't very level. I told the host and based on everything else we experienced, I'm guessing they weren't aware and will rectify it quickly. Again, not a huge deal, but if the pool table is a big draw for you, you might want to make sure it's been taken care of before you rent. Overall, I would 100% recommend the Woodsy Retreat!

Enjoyed the extras. Couldn’t believe the wonderful food and beverages that were provided. I think the VRBO site itself was a stumbling block as it relates to communicating. Clunky. Have to go to my email then hit a button to navigate to the site .

We had a fabulous stay at Woodsy Retreat. The natural surroundings are so incredibly beautiful. Even in the cold and rain, we were able to enjoy them from the hot tub and the wonderful swinging daybed on the covered patio with a heater! Nature therapy is tougher in November in the PNW, but this retreat made it comfortable and accessible. The inside is also beautiful and decadently appointed. To say everything we needed was provided is an understatement. From fresh bread, snacks, and breakfast pastries to luxurious beds and robes - everything was high quality. This did not feel like a typical VRBO - instead, we felt like we were esteemed guests for whom only the best was provided!

A friend and I rented the Woodsy Retreat for our stay during a dance workshop and were delighted we did! This was one of the best rentals I have been to, with so much attention to detail. Super comfy beds, yummy breakfast provided, AMAZING hot tub facing the woods, we definitely will be returning. Dancia was so kind in her communication. Five stars and then some !!

The Woodsy Retreat is truly a hidden gem! The home is warm and welcoming with an abundance of amenities. There wasn’t a single thing we could have possibly needed, it was perfect! The fresh bread, pastries, and coffee bar allowed for relaxing mornings. The bedding is superior and inviting. We enjoyed the living/kitchen area, played pool and spent many hours outside. The forest is gorgeous and tranquil. The hot tub was very nice after navigating Seattle traffic, after trips to Gig Harbor and Woodinville. We met Danica and her fur babies, they showed us the trails and their property. This is a very special place and we cannot wait to return. Looking forward to chatting with Danica, she is an amazing woman!

I loved staying in this property! We needed a get away from normal busy life and this was perfect. It feels like they thought of every possible thing we could need, including an abundance of snacks. The hot tub and forest trail were amazing!
