Woodstork Pond Cottage - Seaside Dreams Entire house

We arrived to a beautiful decorated cottage. Each room decorated with different themes. A very warm and cozy place to stay. The glass doors open to a large lanai to enjoy sitting or enjoying your dinner outdoors without bugs, it is screened in. You walk outside to the most amazing birds. Just a wonderful place. I highly recommend this home.

For the month of February we left the cold behind and headed to sunny Englewood. The house was as pictured and described. The weather was great. Our dog loved the frequent walks especially to the open field about 200 yards from the house. The neighborhood is quiet except they are building a new house across the street. This house is expected to be completed in May.Woodstork Cottage is an older house and is showing signs of aging. A few minor things broke (small rack inside dishwasher rack and kitchen cabinet door hinge) during our stay and Susie responded promptly. However some items (e.g. one lanai ceiling fan) cannot be fixed until the ceiling is upgraded? And the pond alligator Elton invited a new larger friend to join him in the pond.

Susie was very hospitable - she reached out to me to let me know how her first visitor from England, who was arriving before us, could access the property and we had a very friendly conversation. The cottage itself was comfortable and clean, and also was generously stocked and supplied. It was decorated in pinks, mauves and blues, with solid, good quality furniture and spacious wardrobes. The two bedroom suites made it very easy to share with our grown offspring and there was a comfortable sitting room. The screened-in lanai overlooked the wild pond where we could watch for wildlife. With two large dining tables we were spoiled for choice about where to sit at shared meals. Lovely home, lovely host.

Very clean , relaxing environment, everything was the way it was described by the owner. Especially enjoyed the patio.

Wonderful home that is so adorably decorated and homey! Has everything you need for a peaceful and comfortable stay yet very close to the beaches and all Englewood has to offer. Really great community and neighborhood. Great pond out back where one can sit and enjoy the amazing birds, tortoise’s, and alligators! Love this place and so grateful for the stay.

We enjoyed our stay. We did ask the owner about the bikes she had as an amenity for her property description. She went out of her way to make sure they were in working condition when we arrived. She may want to invest in coaster bikes. Her bikes were hard to ride. Beach chairs were also mentioned in the property description. We, unfortunately, had to purchase new ones because the ones she offered were broken. My recommendation is for the property manager to make sure all items listed on the rental property are in good shape and operating for each renter. All and all it was a nice trip but we would have had enjoyed our stay more if the bikes and beach equipment were in better shape.

Suzie saved our vacation!!! Her timely response and helpfulness after a problem with another property was so appreciated. The property was absolute perfection. Everything we needed and more! After 30 vacationing years I can say Woodstork cottage was the most creatively decorated , relaxing , and enjoyable property we’ve ever stayed. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your beautiful home with us!

This is a wonderful cottage in a very quiet neighborhood close to the beaches, the downtown, and wonderful restaurants. The lanai was our favorite room with its view of the pond complete with lots of birds and, of course, the woodstorks! Susie is a tremendous property owner who made our stay very special and has an eye for the decor you will appreciate when you enjoy this very special rental. My wife and I couldn't have been more pleased. We'll be back!

We came to stay at Woodstork Pond Cottage because it looked like such a magical place and it definitely did not disappoint. The house is decorated so beautifully, with so much attention to detail. The neighborhood is so nice and quiet and the pond brings so much wildlife to it, it’s really remarkable. We were looking for rest and relaxation and we definitely found the perfect place to relax and reset. The area has an old Florida feel and the beach is really clean and beautiful. The house had everything we needed and Susie really went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again ❤️

The place is gorgeous but it was incorrectly advertised as 4 bedrooms when it’s only 2 bedrooms. Big difference
