Other things to note
*there is a fun and easy way to either walk or bike to Sequim Bay state park from our retreat!
Simply turn left at the end of the driveway onto swallow hill road. Follow the road until it curves left. Look straight ahead and go down to the end of the road before it curves back to the right. You will see an opening in the trees straight ahead of you. As you walk through that opening it will take you through some trees. You will see a baseball field and a tennis court off in the distance. Once you reach the tennis court you will see a tunnel between the court and the baseball field. This is what will take you under the highway and to Sequim Bay state park! There, you will have access to the Olympic discovery trail, scenic bridges, waterfront views, as well as picnic tables for a fun and scenic lunch at the park!
* we have provided two adult bikes for you to use if you’d like. They are located on the right side of the house and covered with a bike cover. If you’d like helmets they are located on the top shelf in the bedroom closet.
* In the backyard you will notice two piles of sand. This is part of our septic system. Please keep all children, pets, and people from climbing and or digging on these hills.
*Please check out our welcome book labeled “Woodland Retreat” located on the ladder shelf in the living room. In there you will find brochures for places to dine, walking and biking trails, lavender farms, museums, game farm, U-pick berry farms, and much more!
*Ask Heidi to send a guidebook when you book so that you can get more suggestions for fun boating tours, horseback riding, and lots more!
* enjoy cooking up some s’mores or roasting hot dogs on our fire pit. We will supply you with some wood and roasting sticks for your convenience. NOTICE: burn bans are usually in place from early July through the first of October. We will post a sign when burning is off limits. Otherwise, there will be no sign posted and it’s all yours!
* For our guests bringing a pet, please remember to keep them on a leash at all times when outside as well as clean up after them. Thanks so much!
