Woodland Park Home w/ Mountain Views By ATV Trails

We stayed during the week (vs a weekend) and it was awesome. Very few people on the trails which was perfect. The views from this place are gorgeous! We played corn hole one evening and BBQd hamburgers and hotdogs. We appreciate the amenities, plants, and general cleanliness. Everything we needed and more.

This was the perfect getaway. Our family has been riding the trails in this area for over a decade. This year we decided to rent a VRBO instead of camping. Having direct access from the property to the trails was so nice! The full kitchen, access to a BBQ Grille, and showers made it even more enjoyable than camping. The views from the back deck and living room/kitchen area are spectacular! There are even Mountain Views from the Master Loft! The owner was very responsive and had tips to make our stay easy and enjoyable. We will be back!

The house is beautiful and very clean. The view is amazing. Do pay attention to the location and notes about driving to the house. Exactly what we needed for a few days of rest.

This was the best house we ever stayed in. The location is absolutely beautiful, and It is completely calm. Only animals stop by to see what's going on.The kitchen had every equipment you could think of. We were 8 persons in total, and we had enough space for everyone.The host even guided us to the house when we first came. He showed us around and made sure that we find everything.Thank you, Sean!

We just spent 4 nights at Ponderosa Place. This home is an escape, a retreat, a respite from the daily grind and absolute perfection. The Ponderosa Place is immaculate. Situated on the side of a mountain, the view is beyond belief. No picture can fully articulate the beauty of this home, the view, or the peaceful environment. Owner Sean called the week prior to discuss the directions and answer any questions. In addition, he emailed a detailed map for finding the property. The initial drive along the dirt road seemed lengthy, but after the first day, we found it quite a manageable distance to local attractions. Having the ability to “escape” with a beverages on the deck while watching the sunset at the end of a full day was an incredible perk, as well. You can see for miles and hear only the sound of the mountain breeze, the birds, or an occasional ATV in the distance. Inside, the owners have truly and intentionally thought of every detail and every need for the comfort of their guests. Ponderosa Place is supplied with everything from linens and a fully-stocked kitchen to a basement with a large tv and a variety of toys, games, and books. In no time, our family settled in and felt at home. After a day or two, we seemed to forget that we were renting as it felt as though we were staying with friends. The Ponderosa Place is truly special and our family enjoyed every peaceful minute.

The great experience started before we even left our house. Sean, the owner, reached out to us a couple of weeks before the trip to make sure we saw that you need a 4wd vehicle to access the house and give some insight to the property and the town. We arrived a couple days after a heavy snow and freeze and had no issues getting to the house. The drive to the house up the mountain is stunning and exciting. The views are amazing and saw mule deer, rabbits, and elk while driving. The house is beautiful and fully furnished/stock. Everything you could need is there and ready. We spent our evenings in the basement watching movies and playing games while watching the sun set on the mountains. We walked down the hill behind the house and hiked around a little bit the first day. They hike back up the hill was killer. We are from Texas and the almost 9000' elevation took some getting used to. If you want to get away and enjoy nature in a luxurious comfortable place,this house is for you! Would highly recommend!!!!

Our two families (4 adults and 4 elementary-age kiddos) had an amazing 3 days at this property. It's definitely off the beaten path and would definitely recommend a high-clearance vehicle but the reward is 360 degree views on both the drive and at the property. Simply stunning! The property itself had everything we needed plus some. Beds were incredibly comfortable, bathrooms are clean and well-appointed, and finishes are updated, inviting, and the perfect amount of that mountain feel. We actually cooked our dinners at the house and the kitchen was perfect - had all the pots, pans, dishes, and space we needed (plus amazing coffee and tea station!). About a 30-60 minute drive from all the things we had on our to-do list - Garden of the Gods, Pike's Peak, Cave of Winds, etc. Sean and Amanda went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed. Just a perfect retreat for our two families and can't recommend this place enough!
