Woodland Escape~Modern Victorian~3 Acres of CO Mountain Living Min. From Town

This lovely home in serene private setting yet close to town was perfect for our family gathering.

Gorgeous and roomy. It is very much a mountain home with all the pros and cons. We had snow day 3 and difficulty getting up the hill. The property manager was swift and efficient with getting everything plowed. My daughter had a beautiful wedding!

Host was extremely welcoming. Everything was clean and the host even got the hot tub corrected from the weather lately and had it ready before we even got there. I would and will be recommending this property/owner to anyone who asks. We were there for the Men's Advance at Charis Bible College and it was the perfect home for us.

Can’t stop thinking about this great house with the pine forest and all the deer and forest animals as the backyard. I can imagine myself, the retired grandma, actually living there even on the side of this steep mountain slope. Everything I need for retirement life is right there on the main level: kitchen, dining, fireplace and living, master bedroom and super big bathroom room, the laundry room, porch with outdoor grill, hot tub, and even tables for sitting around inside (game table in a comfy bay window) and outside (with a gas hand-warming centerpiece). I loved the Victorian architecture with the wrap around porch. When the adult children came to visit with all my grandchildren there wasplenty of room for them upstairs with two Queen sized beds in separate rooms and a bunk room for the kids. If you need more beds there are blow up beds and lots of good covers in the closet by the upstairs fireplace. One more queen sized bed room was perfect for our uncle to join in down on the garage level and the game area on that level is lots of fun with air hockey and a projection tv with acres of couch to accommodate viewers. For those who wish for more quiet and privacy, the detached garage has a nice warm roomy queen sized bed with lots of floor space to fit in a pack n play (actually provided by the owner) and another blowup bed if needed. I was so pleased to be able to entertain my adult daughters and their families for the holiday week in this beautiful and well equipped Vrbo!

Celebration of grade school friends and spouses who were turning 80. What we really liked: hot tub was operational and clean; two coffee pots with ground coffee & Keurig pods; kitchen was well stocked with spices, soap pods, and paper products; bathrooms and showers were clean and well stocked; we sat 10 at the kitchen table for meals and games; living room was comfortable/great conversation area with fireplace; basement big screen was great for watching football games and all of the bedrooms were very comfortable. Great rental for groups!!

We absolutely loved our stay! The property is stunning and the spaces are bigger than in the photos. We had our rehearsal dinner and wedding here and everyone kept asking how we found the place. It was perfect for 10-15 people to stay during different parts of the weekend. Everything was well stocked and the hosts were really responsive when we had trouble connecting to the WiFi. We kept saying how we’d love to live here!

Our family of 17 loved our stay. We had so much room and so many things we needed for a great three night stay. Kitchen was great and we enjoyed fixing meals for our crew. Very comfortable stay.

We had a great time staying at the Woodland Escape. The house fit our family perfectly and we enjoyed the outdoor amenities - especially the covered porch on the rainy afternoons. The location was perfect and close to all the sight seeing we wanted to do. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

Overall the house is just as it states on the VRBO site. Kitchen is beautiful & well stocked, It even had a crockpot which we used frequently. Big basement/ Game room. Which the kids put up the air mattresses and slept downstairs. Beautiful home. The only problem we had was with the basement shower. The shower knob fell off the first night. So I messaged the landlord and they said they could get a plumber to come in the next day to fix. But we were a little hesitant to do that as we would be gone most of that day. So we said we would get by till we left. But all in all, It’s a beautiful place!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had the added bonus of watching baby hummingbirds in their nest right over the patio. The house was well stocked. When we had an issue, the hosts responded in a timely manner. It was a great house for kids. The air hockey was a big hit. The turn into the driveway was very steep and bumpy, that needs to be fixed. We were close to everything and grocery store is 5 minutes away.

We were a large family of 17 (with 4 more at another property) gathering for my mom's 90th birthday. We loved being able to hang out together as a group, eat meals together, play games and visit local attractions. We had some trouble with the dishwasher and the hosts were very responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

This house was everything you could ask when on vacation!! They had everything you can think of ready for you, from kitchen items, first aid, feminine products, you name it they had it!Beautiful home! We definitely enjoyed our stay. If you are thinking of booking this property DO IT!! You won’t regret it.

We had 12 of us(3 generations ages 2-62). We utilized the grounds with hiking and exploring, fire pit, fire table, hot tub, patio table, also indoor game tables and projection tv. It was unseasonably warm the week we were there, so some evenings sleeping was a bit uncomfortable. We used the fans provided and even brought a couple of our own. Really enjoyed the Woodland Park area and easy enough to hit Manitou Springs and some COS activities. We stayed 7nights and all but one night we cooked at the house and had everything we needed. It was all beautiful yet comfortable to just hang out anywhere inside or out. It felt secluded and private yet you knew there were neighbors down the road. As noted by owners, getting to the house at the top of the hill is tricky. The road had some ruts caused by the unusual amount of rain recently. They did grade the road mid-week but getting into drive took some practice of what angle worked best. Of course 2 vans and 2 Kia fortes don’t have great clearance but once we realized coming at it from the top of hill, it worked well. We enjoyed the wildlife on the property- 3-5 deer daily, chipmunks, a bunny and a hummingbird nest by the patio was fun for the kids to watch! The views of Pikes Peak from Woodland Park is breathtaking! Wonderful communication with owners! Everything was amazing!!! Would bring my family back again!!!

We never want to leave. The house is huge and gorgeous! The kids had so much fun with everything provided here. Us moms loved cooking in the kitchen. The dads loved it all! We will definitely be back!

Fantastic space that surpassed needs for large gathering. Space allowed for separate areas for people to comfortably do different activities. Amenities exceeded expectations - of note, the kitchen was well stocked with appliances and utensils to provide for group meals. Would definitely stay here again. Premier host is well deserved!

Everything was pristine and just as expected. We were given plenty notice about the need for 4WD (and we definitely used it). The home accommodated our large party, and we easily could have all brought significant others to double our party size. Everyone was comfortable, had what we needed, and had an incredible weekend! AND NOW WE'RE MARRIED!

Everything a family could need. Clean, quiet and lovely.

House was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for our stay (including spices!). The kids loved sledding and the hot tub. This house didn’t have the ick factor that some rentals have so it was enjoyable for an OCD clean freak as myself. Host communicated well and made sure we had everything inlcuding a cleared driveway after snow.

This was the perfect place for our family get away. There was plenty of room for all of us and the location was perfect.

The home and guest house were perfect for Party of 16. We enjoyed the game room, hot tub & outdoor area. Very comfortable, spacious and clean. Would stay again!

we loved our stay here! it was perfect for a birthday celebration with friends - lots of space that worked well for a big group, fun games in the basement, and really nice bedrooms. it does sleep 18 but the bunkbeds are pretty small, so i would just take that into account when counting beds for adults! also appreciated that there were no crazy cleaning rules for check out! it feels like they actually put the money they charge for the cleaning fee to good use and don’t put all of the work on the guests. we would definitely book again!

I cannot recommend this location enough for any and all kinds of family time. We had a small wedding with our families and all stayed on the property. It didn’t feel cramped at all even with 13 people. The owners communicated so well and the property was BEAUTIFUL. The owners thought of everything, every bathroom was stocked for potential needs, there were plenty of towels and blankets, it was just so wonderful. I absolutely recommend this property!

The property was just lovely. Well supplied with so many extras. We never could access the internet though and our property manager had internet issues too so some of my text were not delivered timely. But the place is huge with room for all different age groups. We were 1 year old to 70.

Absolutely breathtaking views. Beautiful home totally stocked with everything for cooking. Kids loved the game room. Teens, the hot tub.
