This property was as advertised. The location was the best feature. It is an older property but the price reflects that especially in popular Nee Buffalo. We stayed for a long weekend and didn’t use the kitchen. Our biggest complaint was the linens (towels, bedding). Generally they were not comfortable, were old/used and some were stained.

Excellent location, close to everything and only a 15 minute walk to the beach. The house was comfortable and nicely updated.

Location was great and the house was clean. The living area was small so we didn’t really have a place for everyone at night (4 adults/2 young kids). The noise from the road was high, but not unbearable (not a heavy sleeper). Again we picked this place for location and it provided what we needed.

The house was nice and AC worked great. Some extra nice touches were: packets of makeup remover, stool in the master bath for makeup counter, and travel size soap, shampoo/conditioner, and excellent water pressure in showers. A few items were broken: master shower door off the track, lamp switch to left of master bed broken, and missing pole to twist open blinds in bedroom off LR.

Lovely older home that’s been updated. Across the street from the Church Brewery and one block from downtown. A short five minute drive to the beautiful local beach. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Clean, comfy & cozy. Walking distance to downtown dining & shopping. Walking distance to the beach too, but easier to drive and park at new buffalo public beach for the day with all the gear. The kitchen is open to the living room which was nice for everyone hanging out in the morning and at night.

The house was cute, clean, comfortable and in a great location. As noted in description, it's on a busier street. A brewery/restaurant patio is definitely within hearing range. Kitchen only had three coffee mugs. We put them and coffee maker pot in dishwasher, which locked shut, and we were unable to use them for rest of weekend. Called maintenance at 4:10 on Saturday but they had not come by Sunday at noon when we left. We had to leave our personal dishes we had brought. One of three chairs by firepit was broken. Host did not supply kleenex and provided only one bath towel, hand towel, and wash cloth per guest for a three night stay, so we did laundry. The soap/shampoo/conditioner provided was tiny and not enough for three nights. I'd bring your own toiletries and kleenex.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Hydrangea House. The place was more than enough space for two and, had we stayed longer, we would've loved to take advantage of the full amenities the property offered including the fire pit and full kitchen. Check in and check out was a breeze and the primary bedroom was extremely comfortable - arguably the best mattress and pillows I've had at a stay like this. The best part of was being very walkable to town and the beach, as advertised. Now, a couple of things to be aware of: (1) as of May 2025, the door to the primary bathroom shower was broken and unable to stay shut leaving it unusable. This wasn't an issue for 2 of us because we could use the other bathroom, but was inconvenient and would certainly be an issue for bigger parties. (2) This house is directly across the street from an open air brewery that is open 8 am - 12 midnight every day of the week and they play music from 7 am - close that creeps into the house. It's not terrible, much of a low hum of early 2000s alt rock, but it's enough to disrupt the quiet. We told the owner it could be drowned out if they provided a floor fan, but they said that isn't an amenity provided at the property - hope they change their mind for future stays. (3) Last one, the hot water reservoir goes fast, again, not a problem for 2, but it could be for a larger party. If those things were fixed, we'd definitely return, and considering they're all very fixable, 4/5.

First the positives.. the master bedroom was very nice... the bed in that room was wonderfully comfortable. Communication with owner very good.. especially when the first day the main toilet didnt work and plumber had to come in.. sink fixture was also plugged and needed fixed. I contacted them when shower door wouldn't close and owner was very prompt to respond and have fixed.. appreciated. Nice location in town. But, overall was very underwhelmed. The front of home had a lot of overgrown plants and weeds..a bureau in main bedroom had a huge hole broken in the side, main table maybe 4 could sit, but 6 people..too tight... one towel or so per person.. although i could probably have contacted mgmt to have more brought...or could have washed but only 2 washing machine pods were provided for the stay.Overall....meh... compared to all my other vrbos I've had ...i was happy we had a family member who lived in the area so we could use her kitchen and living room, etc. Overall... make sure to read all the details and size of rooms etc. We probably won't visit this vrbo again.

The house was in a great location. I really like the town. There was a bad thunderstorm while we were there and the power was out for about 6 hours at night. The property managers checked to make sure we were ok the next day. I would request that the home have at least one flashlight available for situations like this. The master bedroom and bathroom is really nice. The other two bedrooms aren’t ideal for adult guests because there are two twin beds crammed into each of the small rooms.

The home was great. Huge master bedroom! The brewery across the street was a lot of fun, and didn’t seem to add any noise at night. I would stay here again!

The hydrangea house was such a pleasant stay! It was convenient to town. We parked our car once we got there and walked the whole week. The house was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was stocked well to make us feel right at home. This charming cozy house was a wonderful stay for a vacation. I would definitely recommend staying there.
