Wintergreen Resort Getaway w/ Deck, Mountain View!

It was perfect for our two families, the kids loved the rooms and hideouts. The beds and bathrooms were clean. It had everything we needed and good location- this is not a free standing house, it is a townhome- I didn't realize this until we arrived.

The host was helpful through text messages when we had some issues with heat and breaker issues. The amenities were good, kitchen well stocked and a very pleasant home and location.

Pros: The space was perfect for our group. Close to main lodge. Perfect place to stay for surrounding area...hikes, breweries, wineries, etc. Cons: Needs some updating (bathrooms and the bedroom floors need to be finished). Primary shower drained slow and filled up with water. Bunkroom had a musty smell.

Very pet friendly and lots of space for everyone in my group!

Overall, it was an OKAY property, it had the smell of dampness particularly at downstairs where the bunkbeds are.

Great place, lots of room. I wish we had more time to enjoy the space.

We had a great time with friends and family 4th of July weekend. Crystal was a great host and quick to respond to any questions.

The townhouse itself very nice. My issue is there were lots of bugs in the home. Spider in the shower downstairs where laundry room . Bugs on ceiling in living room. Some type of bug in bedroom located with the beautiful tub. Lots of spiderwebs on ceiling. I know this is a wooded area but, if you know guests are coming a quick once over would be nice. Just made my stay a little uncomfortable for bug watching. FYI: The microwave is very hard to open. Very Respectfully

Birthday weekend with friends with friends, this house was perfect for our group. The space was just what we needed and everything we needed was available. The owners were responsive and available if we needed assistance.

We really enjoyed our stay at this charming home! The house was immaculately clean, spacious, and so well-equipped—it truly felt like home away from home.The views from the back deck were amazing.We highly recommend this vacation home to anyone looking for a memorable time!

This place was perfect for our family. We were a walk and even shorter drive to the resort. We loved the place so much we are already planning next year’s trip.

We came to the area for our daughter's surprise engagement. It is a beautiful property and it's clean. There is a lot of room and amenities. The views are good and the outdoor sitting areas are great. The newly engaged couple came back to the property and loved it and are considering doing a couples trip up there with some of their friends.

So many great things about this place and the amazing host, from the thoughtful snacks and coffee/tea bar, the plentiful living room games and cozy throw blankets, the soaps and laundry baskets in each bathroom, you could really tell that a lot of thought and care went into this place. The Alexas available for music really set the vibes, the spa goodies and set up in the master bathroom for the Jacuzzi tub really set the tone for a relaxing soak, and the beautifully curated and decorated rooms really made us feel right at home while preparing dinner or settling down for a movie/game night with our family on our mountain getaway weekend! The only thing that I didn't like is that we couldn't stay longer, but I guess I should have taken more time off from work lol. Close enough to a lot of attractions, (we went to the Virginia animal safari and luray caverns during our stay), and far enough away to hide from the world. Very responsive and accommodating hosts, I'm definitely saving this listing and hope to be back soon for a longer stay!

This is a great place to get away for a mountain vacation. The house is filled with very thoughtful touches and it's clear that the owner has spent some time thinking about how to make it feel like home. As a single example, they have created a coffee station with tea, cocoa, various sweeteners, syrups, etc. Not a big deal by itself but indicative of the owner's overall considerate efforts to make this a comfortable home for guests. The owner and staff were very responsive when we had minor issues as well. Recommended. We would definitely stay again.

Overall, we were satisfied with the home during our stay, however there we a few things worth noting. The overall cleanliness of the property definitely wasn't great. We found what appears to be mouse feces in the kitchen drawers, dog hair covered the floors, and the kitchen table and coffee bar were dirty upon arrival. In addition, the large tub in the downstairs bedroom didn't drain, and the handle was broken. There was also empty lighters throughout the house, and some of the doors leading to outside barely locked. Finally, the home was listed with additional sleeping areas and a pull out couch, however these areas were by no means suitable for sleeping. Those areas also featured gaming systems that didn't have a charger or simply stopped working after about 10 minutes of play. We were however grateful for the large assortment of games provided.
