Stayed Oct 30, 2023I would stay at this property again if not for my limited mobility issues. The only walk-in shower was up a steep flight of stairs which I couldn't access. The tub on the main floor was too high for me to access. If there had been a step it would have been fine. The house was very charming and easy to get to.

Stayed Dec 26, 2025The house was in excellent shape- charming even! The game room was so much fun - loved the foosball and the window/door to the kitchen. The location was great. I loved the pond and waterfall behind the house. I loved how the kitchen was closed off with a door so early-risers didn’t wake up late-risers. We also appreciated an exception to the “no pets” rule. It cost a lot, 150, for the exception… but we really wanted this well-behaved pup with us! This was the perfect place for a family get away! We gave it a 4, not a 5, because the coffee machine was broken (and we needed it), a chair in the kitchen was broken so the kitchen wasn’t as usable for early risers, and the bed for the 9th person was under the bed… didn’t know… so the 1st night, we were down a bed. But otherwise the host was great and the location was great!

Stayed Dec 29, 2025Great spot for our extended family of seven visiting more family in Kirkland. Temperature outside never got above -12C but house stayed warm and toasty. Driveway ploughed every morning so huge snowfall not an issue! Everything we needed and as described. Only bummer was coffee machine did not work (sadly missed on a winters morning) but apart from that we had a very good stay. I personally never heard the road but ear plugs were provided if it was an issue. Wood definitely stay again

Stayed Aug 17, 2025Cozy but surprised photos are out dates and don’t reflect accurate condition of back yard / patio area. Surprised no supplies to do s’mores or enjoy a fire. Wood available but no small kindlin to start fire with.

Stayed Jul 8, 2025We loved the property and all of it's historical architecture and antiques. It was such a peaceful home and our kids never touched an electronic device! The pond at night with the bull frogs and fish jumping was so peaceful and relaxing and was a great place to wind down each night and chat before heading to bed. We generally struggle to sleep when away from home, but this house was homey and comfortable we couldn't even make it through the first page of a book or a start of a movie before we were sound asleep! Our host was amazing and stayed in contact through emails leading up to and throughout our stay to ensure we had everything we needed. Such an amazing place to create some family memories!

Stayed May 28, 2025Overall we loved the property, and location. The property around the farmhouse is full of natural beauty. We loved the antiques inside the home. The home suited our needs, and was well supplied for our family of 9. This is an older home with character which we found to be fun, and charming.

Stayed Apr 29, 2025The home is a lovely old historic home and really had everything we needed! Loved the upstairs Master and bath, very spacious! Beautiful grounds and very clean! Drawbacks… Good location in town but it’s on the main road and you WILL hear traffic all day and into the night). Old home with OLD washer/dryer. The dryer didn’t work and the washer was missing the water temp knob, or it was removed so only cold water was available. Kind of concerning as guest linens should ALWAYS be washed in hot for sanitary purposes. For the nightly rate we paid, seems to me it should have a more modern and working washer/dryer.The mgmt company offered to send our laundry out with 24 hour turnaround but who has time for that?!? We ended up having to go to a laundromat while on vacation… no fun. The mgmt company gave me a 10% refund but for the 100, it was a lot of inconvenience for our group. Our last night, (thankfully only one night) we were awakened at 3am by a loud alarm of some kind, coming from the basement. Needless to say, it was most annoying and difficult to go back to sleep.

Stayed Nov 24, 2024House was cute and cozy with enough room for lots of family to spread out. Very close to Chapin Forest. Kitchen had most utensils needed for a big family dinner. (Needs a can opener) Stove and oven worked fine. A bit of traffic noise as it’s on a pretty busy road but nothing like city traffic. We had a great time with no issues.
