Nothing that was listed for the property was true. No trails, no bridges like in the photographs, no safe place to use the river! No horses, not clean! Bugs in all the windows that actually had screens in them. No where to put your things, all the closets and some drawers had old clothing, suit cases, extra sheets in them. It was nasty!!! Well there may be nice decor, to many things on everything that you could not use table tops for anything! No where to put your belongings. The over grown landscaping brought all the bugs and ticks. The ants inside where everywhere you just stepped on them every footstep you took!. The washer and dryer to put mildly were nasty! The owner was rude when I brought these things to her attention! The police were on the property to warn us of a local male that fled on foot on the property and steals cars!! There was a neighbor dispute with the owner and neighbor having people on the property at the house while I was there with my children! I spent so so much money on this place for this to of been the worst trip we ever had! I have stayed in better rustic cabins than this! This was supposed to be full of amentias and it had nothing!! What windows that had screens were broken and would not either open or close right and there was no air conditioning so they needed to be opened but couldn't!! The spider webs and dust in the curtains and windows was also nasty! There was no way to swim, fish, or hike on this property!!

We had a nice stay here. Keep in mind it was brutally cold, negative temps with the windchill, and the heat held up fine. The wood burning fireplace was also very nice. The only thing I would change is better directions into the place. You want to stay left at the fork and with all the snow it is near impossible to turn around if you have to go right (we also arrived late in the pitch black). Also if you plan on cooking, bring your own frying pan, there was none onsite. Overall very nice house, great hot shower, nice towels, etc. Kids loved the loft space as well.

So here is the truth mixed with genuine happiness. This is a first time visit for my wife’s birthday and anniversary first date(same day).I will start with a good experience with our contact Jen. Who gave us a good deal with some options. She provided good communication throughout. The Vrbo location was wonderful as a whole. Dissecting a bit some pros and cons. Pros: a ton of them. Beautiful place to get away. Quiet and loved the treehouse. The main house had all we wanted. Rustic, clean, all items needed were provided. Bedrooms awesome. Great room my fav. Kitchen beautiful. Property was perfect. And it snowed all days. Plows came thru too. It was a great weekend and will go back next year. Cons: Not too many. TV and WiFi not working well. Kitchen sink water pressure poor. Needs some routine repairs. Front porch stone needs repair. Fireplace chimney and topper needs cleaning. Bathroom needs minor repairs and poor water pressure. Kitchen trash can needs replaced. Main bedroom dvd player might as well throw out. Pots and pans selection not the best for onsite cooking. We premade our dinner foods. Bring your own games to play. All in conclusion we would go back. We enjoyed so much and would be in love if the Cons are addressed for next year. Thank you for our four days.

Warm and comfortable cabin on a lovely wooded property with trails and meadows to explore! My kids enjoyed visiting the treehouse, climbing trees and skipping rocks on the river. The dog was in heaven. We took a day trips to state parks nearby for hiking and fishing. Look forward to visiting again in other seasons.

We loved the peace and quiet of this property. The house was beautiful inside and out. We thoroughly enjoyed hiking to the river and the scenic views. We do wish we had known about the two small cabins along the driveway that seem to be a part of the same property that also had guests at them. We did not interact with them and there is a small set of trees between the hosues firepit and theirs but it would have been nice to know up front.

Very cute cabin and property. Like others have said it's not private as there are 2 cabins close by but far enough away not to be bothered by it. The tree house was very cute, but was also being used by the other 2 cabins. Loved the large yard my dogs and children could run around in. The owner is very quick to respond to any concerns or issues. We loved the area as it's in the middle of lots of attractions we wanted to see and 6 to 10 minutes to a beautiful hiking area with multiple trails. The only downside was there wasn't a washer and dryer on sight but laundromat was less than a 10 minute drive away. The fire pit was also nice with all the chairs around it. We had a great stay.

The home was beautiful. We were unaware there were two other rental cabins on the property in close proximity. Just a heads up would have been better. Additionally, the layout was unclear- only one bedroom was downstairs. there is a unique spiral staircase (beautiful) that was challenging for the older adults in the party to navigate, so they had to sleep in downstairs bedroom and on the couch. We had a great time!

We love Willow Run Lodge! The furnishings are comfortable, rustic and kitschy. The swing and chairs on the front porch are a wonderful way to while away an afternoon. There’s plenty to do in the area and walking the grounds and the path to the river is beautiful. The birdsong in the morning was glorious!Jen is very responsive and easy to deal with. The only issue we had was with the WiFi. I couldn’t connect on my Apple tablet or phone, but my husband was able to on his Android. We were able to stream using the smart TV. We’ll be back!

Nice little secluded cabin in the woods. As it is not a hotel, you should expect to find cobwebs etc inside of the property since it is in the middle of the woods-so, overall cleanliness was what I expected. The only negatives were-The kitchen sink handle needs to be repaired. It is very loosely attached to the countertop and the handle would continuously come off during use. 2. It was absolutely freezing upstairs. The welcome email mentioned ordering firewood on a kiosk in the hallway, but there was no kiosk anywhere. We went down the road to purchase firewood which definitely helped defrost us in the main living area but I would highly recommend bringing a few extra heavy blankets. IT IS EXTREMELY DARK outside, again to be expected in the middle of the woods but also terrifying going outside at night with mounds of bear poop feet away from the front door. I would suggest the owner replace some of the burnt out bulbs and maybe invest in a spotlight for travelers safety. Lastly, the internet. There is WiFi but after trying to figure out what the connection issue was we discovered that the internet cord to the modem is very finicky. The WiFi appears as connected but would have connection issues so often we weren’t able to get anything playing. All in, it was an enjoyable quick get away with family.amenities provided made the stay very comfortable. A little TLC in the spring and this place returns to being a true hidden gem.
