We enjoyed our stay and if your cooking - no need to bring anything - Fully stocked kitchen. The pool is in walking distance of the home ! Lots of indoor and outdoor games to play for adults and little ones . Wrap around porch with many tables - 2 comfy screened in areas up stairs and down stairs ! If you can't handle making ice from trays - bring your own ! We only stayed for 2 days so we were able to survive .. Berkeley Springs town within 6 miles - has a new restaurant called Vine Trattoria 'Cacapon State Park not far - has a beach area and hiking trails !

We had a great time. The home was perfect for 2 grandparents, 2 children and their spouses, and 5 grandchildren. The space was perfectly fit for us.We were able to make a full Thanksgiving dinner because the kitchen was so well equipped. There was hiking, cards, games and much joy and laughter. A good amount of family teasing also! The beds were comfy and the woodland theme was incredible! Even though, sadly we didn’t have a “little” to enjoy the doll house, I think all the kids tried it out! So amazingly cute! Thanks for the up keep on this lovely cabin!

This visit was a disaster from start to finish. When we arrived, we immediately noticed a damp, musty smell to the cabin. Looking around, we found mold growing in the downstairs bathrooms. In one of them it was a small amount, but in the other, it was a large, black area on the ceiling with clear signs of water damage all around. The property owners had a dehumidifier set up in the basement, so they apparently knew there was some issue there. The musty smell permeated the house and lasted our whole stay. This was just the first issue. We also found holes in the screened in deck areas which allowed bugs in; drainage from the AC units that weren't attached, allowing water to leak onto the the deck; exposed nails on the deck railing, etc... Also, the main door only had the key code lock on it without a deadbolt or chain, meaning anyone with a code could have entered at any time. We would have left early, but due to some commitments of ours, we had to stay for the planned week. Finally, after we had left, the management company contacted us to charge us a cleaning fee, claiming we left dog poop in the living room! We obviously had not done that. They sent pictures dated several days after we left as their proof and apparently wanted us to take their word that no one else had been in the house since we left. The house was moldy and gross and the management company tried to rip us off. AVOID!

The place was very nice - the back enclosed porch was great for family dinners - the kids got a charge out of the little play area - the only negative was the sliding door to the back enclosed porch was very hard to push (rollers are going bad - we had the same problem at our own house & replaced the rollers.)

Was a nice place to stay. My boys were obsessed with their room/play area. We were told after 4:00 and arrived at 4:10 ish- they weren’t done cleaning. There was dog poop in the yard when we arrived.. there was no detergent for laundry- which I attempted to call once and email twice with zero Response. Everything else was good, no toaster which my kids eat bagels, the toaster oven took way too long to toast bagels. My daughter’s room did start smelling weird after we got settled, almost like old smoke? But the beds were so comfortable. I personally wouldn’t spend the money we did on this place, but, it was a decent stay.

Wow! Everyone in our group LOVED this place! We had a few kids and infants with us and it was just perfect for a family group like ours. I think this place would be a terrific stay at any season and I would definitely book again. Clean, stocked well enough to get you started, and nestled in the coolest little community. We loved the hiking trails, the horseshoe pits, and the pool was lovely. I will definitely keep this one the list for future trips!

The Wild Flower-Themed Retreat was the perfect location for a recent family gathering to celebrate a marriage and get together with family. The bedrooms were just right for my family and the setting overall enabled us to host a gathering of 25 close relatives. I've never seen a kitchen so well stocked with dishes, pots, pans and utensils. Inside and outside dining areas provided plenty of room for us. The hot tub was enjoyed. Also, the big yard outside was so great for a number of yard games and the fire pit was safely used later in the evening. Thank you to Mountainside Getaways for helping secure this location after a major problem booking through VRBO. I won't make that mistake again.
