Nestled on a quiet wooded ridge in the heart of the Coolfont Mountain Community, Redbird Haven is just minutes from historic Berkeley Springs and two hours from DC, Baltimore, and Pittsburgh. Whether you're planning a familygetaway, a girls' weekend, a romantic escape, or a work-from-the-woods retreat — this cabin was made for exactly that kind of trip.

We've put a lot of thought into the details that make a stay feel special rather than just functional — and our guests notice. Here's what keeps them coming back:
• Private hot tub — cleaned and inspected between every stay, surrounded by peaceful woodland views. Guests tell us it's their favorite part of the trip.
• Fire pit + grill — spend your evenings outside, telling stories, roasting marshmallows, or cooking out under the trees.
• Screened-in porch — one of our most-loved features. Experience the wooded setting and fresh air without a single bug. Perfect for morning coffee, afternoon reading, or evening wine.
• Community pool, tennis courts & playground — open Memorial Day through Labor Day, just a short walk from the cabin. A game-changer for families with kids.
• Genuinely family-friendly — we have a toy chest, kids' outdoor chairs, sippy cups, and a bunk room with a twin, full, and pull-out trundle that kids absolutely love. The whole setup works beautifully for two families traveling together or a family with multiple kids.
• Dogs stay free — we love pets and don't charge a pet fee. We just ask that you clean up after them and use the throw blankets we provide for furniture.
• Fully equipped kitchen — our guests love cooking here. You'll find everything you need, plus a welcome spread of snacks and fresh coffee beans ready to grind.
• Thoughtful sleeping details — like both soft and firm pillow options in every room, because the little things matter.
• High-speed WiFi — great for remote workers or anyone who needs to stay connected between adventures.

The Bedrooms:

Bedroom 1 — Queen bed, first floor, steps from the deck and hanging egg chair
Bedroom 2 — King bed with a gorgeous forest view over the headboard and a private balcony overlooking the stream — guests say it looks like a painting
Bedroom 3 — Bunk room with a twin on top, full on the bottom, and a pull-out twin trundle underneath. Perfect for kids or flexible group sleeping

The Location:
Redbird Haven sits within the Coolfont Mountainside Association, with access to a seasonal pool, tennis courts, and playground. Coolfont Resort is right across the street with additional amenities and a restaurant. Cacapon State Park is just an 11-minute drive for hiking. And downtown Berkeley Springs — with its famous mineral spas, art galleries, local shops, breweries, and restaurants — is just a short drive away.

You can fill every day with adventures, or never leave the property at all. Both are completely valid vacation strategies.
