My wife and her family could not believe how nice, the location and how peaceful this place was. We really enjoyed the trails behind the house and the fire place on the back deck. We will book this house again for sure. The details listed on the description is spot on and the pictures does not do it justice. If you are looking for a cabin and do not want to worry about bad roads then this is the place for you. Nothing like walking on the back porch and just sit with nothing around you but woods. Very………. Very………….. Very nice!!
We celebrated Christmas with family from Georgia and North Carolina. The drive from Pittsburgh PA was around 8.5 hrs but definitely worth the trip. Everything was exactly as described by the owners and there was plenty of room for everyone. We made the hike to Catawba Falls but the water was high making it too difficult for some of us to cross the stream. The stars at night were amazing! We all really unplugged and relaxed. Thanks for allowing us to bring our dogs they had as much fun as we did!
Our group of 12 women had a wonderful girls getaway weekend at Wildcat Lodge! Lots of good food, laughter, and camaraderie. The house was amazing and the beds were very comfortable. It was lovely to have so many bathrooms! The only (VERY SLIGHT) criticism that I can offer is that it would have been nice to have a few more comfy places to sit in the living room. We all wanted to sit and visit together, but it left some folks either sitting on the floor, or in the dining room chairs for the evening, which was a little uncomfortable.
We travelled from New Mexico for my son's wedding at the chapel at Camp Crestridge for Girls. He and his fiancé met there five years ago while they were camp counselors. Wildcat Lodge was the perfect setting to hold his rehearsal dinner. We had 12 Bones cater and if you are ever in need of a person that will help get things done you need to visit www.suggestionsevents.com and speak with Freda Baker! She did the entire set-up, decorations, serving the food, and cleaning up afterwards. She also picked up all the food for us. Everyone was so impressed by this beautiful cabin. We had S'mores out on the deck using the fire pit. The guests enjoyed it so much more than in a restaurant! Thank you Becky for the use of your beautiful cabin! We are hoping to return when we have more time to take in all the sites! Anyone staying here will not be disappointed!
This home was a great place for our cross country camp this summer! We had plenty of room, lots of hills, and were close to town for any extra items we needed. Thanks for a great stay!
Beautiful home, clean, neat, well maintained. The owners are great, very attentive to our being happy & comfortable while in their rental home. Even though there has been and continues to be a lot of rain in NC this year we were able to do & see all that we had planned. The area is great for hiking with lots of streams/rivers and falls, foliage & flowers are lush and plentiful this time of year and lots of wildlife to be observed. There are many activities and places to visit for the entire family. Thank you for providing a great place where our whole family could comfortably enjoy coming together. I whole heartedly recommend the Wildcat Lodge as your home away from home while in North Carolina.
Our vacation at the Lodge was fantastic. There is not a thing I would change unless that would be that I could stay another month or two. This is an amazing property in that it is equipped with every thing needed and more. Surroundings are fun and beautiful and it is close to solo much. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!
The cabin was very nice. The listing photos did reflect the cabin appearance and amenities. The property was clean and well-maintained. I would recommend this cabin to a friend or relative. We ate Packs in Asheville. It was excellent.
My friends and I stayed at Wildcat Lodge for a long weekend. The pictures do not do the property justice. Pictures cannot convey the peaceful setting or the relaxing atmosphere. Everything about the lodge was top-notch. It had all the conveniences of your own home. The bedooms had plenty of linens, towels, and extra covers for the cool evenings. The property was well maintained and we could hear the rush of water from the creek as we relaxed on the deck. the cabin is in a secluded area but the roads are well marked and we had no trouble finding it - the only problem we had was in leaving - we had a most wonderful time. I recommend it highly.
My family and I had a GREAT time at this cabin. It is beautiful, clean, at a great location if you want to get away from the city, but close enough if you need anything. The cabin is very well equipped with kitchenware, TV's, stereos, games, grill, wood for bonfire, ping pong table, etc. You won't get bored neither indoors or outdoors. Hiking trails are pretty and fun. I highly recommend it
