Round Island Riverside Park, across the street from White Surf Resort, is a notable destination for nature enthusiasts. It has a boat ramp and is great for paddleboarding, kayak eco-tours and manatee / dolphin watching off the boardwalks. Just a few minutes' walk from White Surf Resort, the Oyster Bar Marsh Conservation Area is great for hiking through the mangroves.

Other great parks near White Surf Resort: Riverside Park offers huge green spaces, picnic areas, and a fishing pier along the Indian River Lagoon. Let your dogs run wild at Seaview Dog Park. McKee Botanical Garden, on the mainland, showcases lush landscapes and exotic plants.

White Surf Resort is located on the barrier islands, with the Atlantic Ocean to the east and Indian River Intercoastal Waterway to the west. The home is just off the beautiful A1A coastal two lane highway, in the estate section of Vero Beach. No hotels or high-rises for miles in either direction, but not too far from wonderful old vero beachside shops and restaurants. Several bridges provide convenient access to nearby mainland grocery and big box shopping.

LOGGERHEAD, GREEN and LEATHERBACK, OH MY!

Vero Beach is one of the most important sea turtle nesting sites in North America. The beach in front of White Surf Resort is a popular nesting site for several species of sea turtles, including loggerhead, green and leatherback.

There are steps that you can take to help us protect these magnificent creatures. During Turtle Nesting Season (March 1st to October 31st): never approach nesting or hatching turtles, never walk on or disturb turtle nests, reduce visible light at night by closing ocean-facing curtains and blinds, turn off or reduce lights facing the ocean, and if walking on the beach at night use only red light flashlights (provided in the lending library at White Surf Resort).

SPACE EXPLORATION

SpaceX and NASA rocket launches are often visible from the pool and the east balconies at White Surf Resort. While the launches are generally quite visible to the naked eye, binoculars are available in the White Surf Resort Lending Library. Check calendars for launch dates and times.

Please respect our tranquil community - weddings, parties or other events are never permitted at White Surf Resort. Local regulations restrict cars to 5 maximum and forbid all outdoor amplified music at vacation rentals. Penalties are severe and we appreciate your understanding. Smoking is not permitted in the home. The home is dog friendly (additional fee per pet). The swimming pool is heated (additional fee per day).
