Clean, good size rental in the middle of the quaint town of Forestport. With the Black River steps away, the sound of water going over the small dam lulls you to sleep. The Forestport diner is literally in the backyard. It's slogan is Best diner by a Dam site The breakfast was good and reasonably priced. The homemade donuts are fantastic. The bedroom downstairs with its 2 beds are steps away from a bathroom with a a very nice large walk-in shower. The stairs going to the second floor are a little steep (normal for a house of its age). Once upstairs, the two bedrooms with 2 beds in each are comfortable. The upstairs bath has a beautiful claw bathtub, which was a soothing spot after a long day of exploring the area. WWMW is the perfect location to see the western side of the Adirondack Park. If you are looking for a place to rent and don't mind staying in a well taken care of old home, I highly recommend WWMW... the price is right!
Wonderful place to stay, perfect for my family of 4 for a long weekend trip! Love the hikes recommended, would definitely stay here again. Clean, easy check in, all the comforts of home.
Everything was excellent with this house. Perfect location for our group since we were mainly interested in cross country skiing. A few cross country ski areas were in close vicinity. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The only problem was the heating system which sometime did not heat some rooms sufficiently.
The property manager was a dick wouldn't recommend it for anybody
Great house for our vacation visiting family in Forestport. We definitely would rent again when in town!
Lots of nature trails and state parks
We enjoyed our stay. The location is convenient to all the places I wanted to go. The owner was accessible and very nice.
Our host, Joe. couldn't have been more accommodating. Always ready to provide anything we needed and to suggest local restaurants, attractions, etc. The house is dated but that's part of it's charm. Everything was super clean and basic supplies were provided. You can walk to the local hometown diner for a great breakfast (not to mention an Awesome Friday Night fish fry). Also within walking distance is the dam/waterfall on the Black River. Can't wait to return. Thanks Joe!!!!
Everything was great! Joe is an excellent host. We will definitely stay here again in the future. Ron & Margaret
