Wheel House-Secluded Chalet Close to Ohiopyle in Heart of Laurel Highlands

The home was cozy and well stocked! The rustic feel of the home was very welcoming and we had everything we needed. The bar keepers friend was very much appreciated. Thanks for the detailed notes and messages.

Excellent location for the three ski resorts nearby, all within 30 minutes or so. The house worked well for four adults and two children. Host was very welcoming and accommodating. Kitchen is well stocked, and the layout was nice.

Huge place, great location, loved the fire ring and pool table.

Very nice and roomy vacation get away. house was super clean. big an open area, great kitchen. pool table was a plus since it rained one evening. Two things to make your stay better, bring is firewood and an outdoor grill since neither is provided. other than that it is very nice.

My large family of 8 and parents-in-laws stayed with us in the house. Very comfortable for all. The pool table was a winner for my Father-in-law and older kids.

I had an amazingly restful stay at this beautiful cabin in the Laurel Highlands area of Pa. Access to the Wheelhouse was simple and directions from Beth, the property manager, were easy and helpful. I spent 3 days/nights in this well-appointed rustic cabin, which had everything I could possibly need. This was a quiet retreat time for me, so this home in the woods was a perfect location to step away from busyness, while allowing easy access to nearby state parks for hiking and enjoying nature. Lots to do close by, but I will need to return to take in those opportunities. I will definitely plan on a return visit with my family (the cabin can sleep up to 10 people quite comfortably). Thanks to Beth and Keith for creating this beautiful home in the woods for small and large families to enjoy!

Enjoyed our stay here with two other families. Very close to Hidden Valley and convenient for our days at Seven Springs. The space was perfect for our range of ages from preschool to our high-school and college-aged kids and our adults. We loved having different spaces to lounge in but a centralized dining area that everyone can come together at for breakfasts and dinners. Will try to return next year and make this trip annual!

Loved staying at wheel house! Plenty of room for everyone and we got almost a foot of snow and still close enough to travel to seven springs!

We had a lovely stay at the Wheel House bringing in the 2025 New year with family and awakening with a dusting of fresh snow. The home is cozy, spacious and well stocked with anything you may need for a comfortable getaway. It has a rustic feel with modern accommodations. The host was helpful and accommodating. The location is perfect for multiple ski options and yet provides a secluded setting to spend the day relaxing, reading by the fire or playing a game of pool. We highly recommend this home!

Nice place. Best stocked kitchen of any rental yet. We like to cook so that was great. About 20 minutes from Seven Springs. Pool table was fun!

We enjoyed our time in Bakersville, where we visited with family, walked trails at two nearby state parks, visited a Frank Lloyd Wright house, played games, watched movies, and cooked together.

Family and friends getting together for the week. We wanted to stay more local this year and found this place. We went to the local beach for a day and just enjoyed the time.

Fun family getaway in lovely rustic home. Clean and spacious. We had a great time cooking in the kitchen and playing games and pool. Location was great. We did wish that there was a barbecue grill but otherwise it was a great place

The house worked well for the six of us visiting Seven Springs. We had plenty of space to hangout and could sleep comfortably. Check in and out were easy, there was ample parking, and the owner communicated well and quickly. Turning off the main road onto the driveway was a little tight with large trucks, but we were able to make it work. The kitchen was also well stocked with plates, utensils, and pots and pans, so that made cooking easy. Overall, it was a good experience and we would consider rebooking it.

This place was perfect for our Family of 9! It was quick and easy to find as well as checking in and communicating with host. Entire house was clean and well maintained. Definitely would stay here again!
