Stayed Apr 19, 2024West Side Westy is the best way to tour Oahu! It is a clean, safe, fun ride. It comes fully outfitted with everything you need to go glamping! All the way down to snorkels and fins if needed. My son and I, both over 6ft, spent a week in a park, and then at a farm living out of, cooking in and sleeping in Westy while we toured the whole island. Saved us a ton on food being able to cook in Westy, and was way more convenient and cost effective than a hotel and rental car. West Side Westy is the way to go. Her owner is super cool and happy to accommodate anything you will need also.

Stayed Nov 12, 2025Desiree was wonderful, she was very welcoming and thorough on getting us familiar with the van. We had an amazing time camping around the island with the van. It had everything you need and more. We are very grateful for the experience and would absolutely do again!

Stayed Oct 24, 2024This van was amazing to rent and travel in! Check in and return process were super streamlined and thorough, really appreciated the owners walking through all the features in person and being flexible with checkout location. There are lots of quirks that come with an older vehicle, like no ac and a bit slower highway speeds. But these were expected and the small fan plus window vents made nights sleeping even in pretty warm temperatures doable, much better when there was a breeze. And we were able to get around everywhere we wanted to reliably and safely. Since this vehicle is so iconic, we also had lots of positive interactions with fellow travelers and locals who seemed excited to see a rig like this traveling around the island! Really appreciated all the little touches and how homey everything felt :)

Stayed Aug 12, 2024Not only did this VRBO meet the standard, the host Desiree went above and beyond. The communication was above par, she did everything that she could to make this short trip for a family emergency easy to find and manage. We did not have to worry about anything else. I will definitely be recommending this VRBO Westy to friends and family who may want to see the island as we do.
