West OC Bayside Getaway W/ Private Pool

Overall pleased with the rental. Pool was not clean and had not been cleaned prior to our arrival. Contacted Doug and he said he would contact the pool co. It was a holiday weekend and they did not show. Disappointing because the pool was one of the reasons for the rental. House towels were very small and no kitchen towels. Location was perfect

This was our 13th annual trip to OCMD and it was an experience with Hurricane Erin. The house is beautiful. We loved the backyard with the pool. We used it every day (when it wasn’t raining). The house is waterfront and because of the hurricane the flooding was crazy. People were kayaking down the road. The vibe that I got from the neighbors was that they don’t like renters/ out of towners. They were so unfriendly and did not seem like dog people. Overall I would recommend this house. Doug was easy to talk to and easy to get in touch with.

The house was a beautiful layout. Bedrooms were good size to fit our family of 6. Quiet location, yet close to everything. Just a short drive to anything you want or need. House appeared clean. But the kitchen floor was not. Could use some touching up of paint, and such.Pool was great and my daughters kayaked in the canal! We will return.

This is a nice house, context, we rent 5 to 6 x a year. It has the essentials for sure, but hubby and I both agreed that it was the views that stole our hearts! During our stay there it was too cold for the pool but he did jump in once! Lol I’d recommend this house to friends

We were in town for a concert on the boardwalk. Location was good for ubers back and forth at a reasonable rate. The property was great! Loved having the deck and pool. Living area was very spacious

Nice play to stay. Area is quiet and it’s close to main area of boardwalk. We would stay again:)

We spend some time in OCMD every summer and this was our first staying in West OCMD. The location is great. Everything we needed was within a very short 5min drive. Nice quiet neighborhood on the canals. The house was great. Clean, well maintained. The back yard is really impressive. An in-ground pool, large deck, a dock, sand area with fire-pit, and a lounging area with hammock swings. The front porch looks over the bay and into OC. Great views! Quick and easy contact with the owner. If you want to drive over the bridge to the main part of OC, it's only a short 5-10 min drive. But really, almost everything you need (excluding the boardwalk) is also located in West OCMD. Great restaurants, go-carts, breweries, shopping, The Fractured Prune.... all just a very short drive from the house. Lots of mosquitoes on the canals so be sure to pack plenty of Off spray and citronella candles. We definitely plan on staying here again!

My family stayed at this house over Labor Day. It’s a very nice house and the location was great for us. Level of cleanliness is to be desired and bricks around pool were loose.

The house was lovely, clean, and was exactly as pictured. The huge kitchen was definitely an asset. The best part for the kids was the pool. The only negative was the mosquitos were horrible in the afternoon and early evening.

Amazing property with private pool and dock (large crabs were caught) but if you plan on cooking them you’ll need a bigger pot

The good points of the home: - private pool is awesome. It’s not heated but that didn’t bother the kids. Nice to have pool towels provided. - sheets and towels come with the rental - tp and pt came with the rental - close to shopping and restaurants - quiet neighborhood Areas of improvement: - the AC does not work , like at all. Luckily we were there Memorial Day so the outside temp wasn’t too high but it was cooler outside than in. I had to run out and purchase fans. The owner didn’t seem surprised by this or all that concerned. - bath towels are tiny - not enough tp was supplied for long weekend with 5 people using the bathrooms. Had to go purchase some. - not everything in the description of the home was true to life
