The lake was calm and the weather was gorgeous.

Very nice house, incredibly clean and well stocked. Really enjoyed the stairs going into the water and the sloped entrance into the lake which made it easy to get into and out of our paddle boards and kayaks.

This is our second year at this property. It has an ideal location on Inks Lake, is clean and well stocked with necessties. We would definitely return for another visit!

This property is an absolute gem! As paramedics, we were in great need of a mental reboot. This property was exactly what we needed. It has everything and more and did not disappoint. The property owners were very easy to get a hold of and we all felt very welcome. Will definitely be back sooner rather than later!

My husband, three boys (ages 10, 8, and 4), my 5 year old niece and I spent a wonderful weekend on Inks Lake! We kayaked, fished and swam all day. The house is right on the water, the lake is at a constant level, and the house has so many rooms/beds for various sleeping options. We will definitely be back.

We were looking to get away from the hustle&bustle and spend time on/by the water. This home did just that - we love all the vintage pieces around the house that we got to explain to our kids. I loved sitting outside on the porch swing watching deers, birds, the view of the lake and castle was lovely. My family loved being able to walk out to the lake to go fishing and swimming. Nancy was accommodating and was easy to communicate with.

Outstanding lakehouse on the water. The driveway was a little tricky to back a boat into, but if you have the skills, not too crazy. Tons of room, and the boat dock was in a small cove right by the dam. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This is a gorgeous lake side property. We would definitely stay here again! We really enjoyed sitting on the covered porch and watching the wildlife (geese, herons, a couple of foxes and a sweet kitty who befriended us) and the lake. The house is well stocked with most everything you need. Recommend bringing bottled water and paper plates. The beds were comfortable. Two of the bedrooms are upstairs via a spiral staircase so beware if anyone in your group has mobility issues. Again, this is a very nice property!

Second time we’ve stayed here with my family and my parents. Great setup for multi- family trip. Beautiful spot. Access to water is superb. Porch seating was perfect. We will come again!

Our family celebrates Christmas by spending a few days at a water front property. The Talbots home on Inks Lake was perfect with many custom touches, a large yard and beautiful view from all the rooms.Grandkids loved the boat on the wall, bunk beds, spiral staircase, “hideout” near the living room, and all the wildlife.

Wish we could have stayed longer. This was a great place for my family to connect after a while of being apart. Everyone had their own space and the water was great!! Thank you!

We all enjoyed our stay and loved the easy access to the lake. It was a great place for swimming and paddle boarding. We loved having the grass yard. I gave a 4star for cleanliness due to having to sweep up the back porch. But everything else was very comfortable and clean inside. We would come back again!

We loved this house!! The finishes are beautiful and we loved staying in a home that was obviously cared for! We had so much fun playing games and floating in the lake!

The property was extremely clean and fully stocked with all of the necessities of home. I would highly recommend this property for anyone seeking a quiet getaway on one of the best lakes in Texas.

We have stayed at the Talbots Lake House on inks Lake numerous times and every year is more fun than the last! Comfortable beds and soft linens, chef’s kitchen so well appointed and a beautiful lake for water fun! Our grands, who are tweens especially love the kayaks. Plenty of lifejackets are supplied for a safe paddling experience. The dock is also perfect for dropping a fishing line or enjoying a cocktail. Try it, you will love it!

Wonderful place to unplug and unwind!! The house is beautiful and felt like a home away from home! The doc is perfect for fishing! Caught several 3-4 pound fish off the doc! So fun! We booked to come back next year while sitting on the back porch the first night! ??

We loved the house and we loved the beach entry access to the lake. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Kayaking, canoeing, fishing, yard games ~ all great! We hope to return!

Our small family enjoyed our 5 night stay so much we are already trying to plan a next trip. We swam, canoed, paddle-boarded and kayaked at the property. Spent some time close by at Longhorn Cavern and Inks Lake State Park, hiking some trails. House and grounds were very clean Our 5 year old son teared up when we left. He did not want to leave. Thanks to the host for sharing such a wonderful property.
