The location is perfect if you’re looking for something off the beaten path but still special. You’re within walking distant to the Cana Island lighthouse and the view of the water is amazing out the front windows (or from the balcony). The house was clean and beautifully decorated with tons of space for everyone.
great location, Peter the property manager was helpful and available
Enjoyed the access to the water and fire table with views from the upper deck. House was clean and worked very well for our group.
We were a group of women who met in college and have been visiting in Door County since 1992. Your home was a perfect gathering place for us, although a little larger than we need. Everything was perfect. The home was very clean and well stocked with more than enough paper supplies and towels. We loved the location for walks over to Cana Island, one of our favorite lighthouses. Pelican Bay was perfect for kayaking and watching sunsets. We would defintely come back if we had more people in our group.
The property was a comfortable, rambling 2 1/2 story home with something for everybody. Whether playing a fast game of ping pong or a competitive game of foosball or darts the place was a kids dream. Our grandkids played in the loft area upstairs while the adults visited downstairs. The 2 person kayak provided a fun and safe !experience in shallow moonlight bay. Peter was a very attentive and communicative host. One great family reunion!
We loved staying here! We had 16 in our group for our weeklong celebration of my in-laws' 50th anniversary: 4 adult couples and eight grandkids from 11-19 years old. There was plenty of room for all of us. We especially loved being able to all eat together at the giant dining table, which is a rarity at this kind of rental. The whole house was truly set up for a large group to enjoy their time together, not just pack in as many beds as possible. We enjoyed early morning coffee and yoga by the lake, fires in the front yard fire pit, and walks to the Cana Island causeway to see the stars - we could not have asked for a more perfect property or location. The host, Peter, is great! He was very helpful and responsive to all my questions before and throughout our stay. We'd all happily return to this property!
The house was great. You have to cross a road to get to the pier but that worked out OK. Sandy beach a short walk away. The lack of rain kept us from utilizing the pier. Kitchen table was great for meals. We could all sit together with room for a few more. Kitchen was well stocked with plates glasses silverware pots pans knives storage containers.
Location was excellent, large house for our large family, had 14 people, well equipped house with kayaks, bicycles, fully equipped kitchen area, plenty of towels, had laundry facilities Close to all surrounding community villages to explore
Plenty of space for extended family event. Easy access to Lake Michigan and provided kayaks were great.
A grand home with a beautiful view of Pelican Bay. Plenty of room for all to relax and unwind. Nestled in the woods this home was private and away from all the hustle and bustle that can be found in some of the Door County towns during fall weekends. We thoroughly enjoyed cooking in the stocked kitchen, family meals at the large dining table and making s'mores while chatting by the firepit. Our stay was delightful!
We stayed at Pelican Lookout for a multi-generation family reunion and found it to be a wonderful place. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need and the dining table seated 18 people! Comfortable family and living rooms, along with a large deck, firepit, and dock allowed smaller groups to gather. The game room was a big hit, too, along with the Cana Island Lighthouse just a short stroll down the road. Plenty of linens and towels, along with bunkbeds and beds in the loft and 3.5 lovely new bathrooms allowed our multi-age group to stay together in comfort. The stars and the sounds of the waves were magical and Spikehorn Bay was great for swimming and kayaking. When the hot water went off over the weekend, the owner arranged for immediate repair and the issue was resolved very quickly. Highly recommended!
The kitchen was well equipped for all our needs! Paper products were plentiful as well as bed and bath linens. Kayaks were great and fun for every age! Loved the deck and dock! Great location.
The property was the perfect size for our group. The configuration of the bedrooms and sleeping arrangements worked for us. The kitchen was a bit small, but the large table was perfect. We were a bit disappointed that the lighthouse was not accessible and the water for our beach was so low. We saw a porcupine and enjoyed the kayaks and bikes. Thanks for the memories.
This house was amazing from top to bottom and in an absolutely gorgeous location. You get to enjoy sunsets on the beach or from the front porch every night and are a short drive from many major towns in the Door County area. We had 14 family members together to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary and it was perfect. The kitchen is a generous size and the dining room table fit all of us, we rarely have the opportunity to sit all together for meals and this was PERFECT!! We loved the outdoor area for playing games, the indoor game room was perfect when it was raining and the kayaks and bikes brought so much joy to our family. THANK YOU for renting out this amazing property.
We had a great time! The house is beautiful and completely stocked . The location was perfect and close to so many activities. Thanks for a great week!
