Welcome to Green Pastures, a new luxury home in the village of Empire.

The house was wonderful--very comfortable and decorated beautifully. The neighborhood and Empire itself are lovely with lots of hiking opportunities and beautiful views. We particularly love the Empire Bluff Trail. The host was very responsive and helpful. The directions at the house were detailed and easy to follow. Get pizza from the Empire Village Inn. You won't be disappointed!

Absolutely phenomenal home! Clean, spacious, bright - and it has everything you need whether you're in the kitchen (amazing coffee options!) or bath. The home's location can't be beat either: we could walk to the visitor center, beach (stunning sunset), Empire Village Inn (great food), and Grocer's Daughter (mint truffle was our fave). It was a perfect home base for our visit to Sleeping Bear Dunes. Thank you, Katherine!

Green Pastures is in a nice quiet new neighborhood within walking distance of the town of Empire and the Lake Michigan beach. The house is very clean and bright and the hosts thought of everything to make it perfect. I would love to return and would recommend it highly.

Gorgeous house, situated perfectly for our family vacation. Every furnishing was new, clean, well kept. Especially appreciate the coffee bar options: Kurig, pour over, French press, machine.

What a beautiful home nestled in a beautiful neighborhood just a short walk to the beach! We had an amazing time with our family (2 young boys)! The house was perfectly appointed and we weren’t far from anything northern MI has to offer (Empire, Frankfort, Glen Arbor, Traverse City and of course the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes)! With the help of a friend who owns a home in Empire, I rented this home due to the proximity to my friend’s home and because of how new it is. We absolutely loved the location and floorplan of Green Acres. It is well equipped with kitchen supplies and small appliances. We like to cook and entertain so that was important to us. Beach towels were provided for our boating and kayaking days. We enjoyed sitting around the outdoor fire pit for evening cocktails and chats. Glen Arbor was our favorite town and it’s only 10 minutes away! There is so much to do and explore in the immediate area. A few of our favorite adventures were boating and jet skiiing on Glen Lake, kayaking on the Platte River, biking the Heritage Trail, hiking the sand dunes at Sleeping Bear Dunes Lakeshore National Park, walking to Empire Beach, and wine tasting in Traverse City and on the peninsula. Overall, an exceptional vacation and experience. It was wonderful to have a beautiful home to come back to every night.

This house is beautiful, clean, and comfortable! A cute coffee drawer and thoughtful welcome basket await your arrival. It was the perfect location to enjoy the beach and all that Sleeping Bear Dunes has to offer! We made wonderful family memories

My husband and I stayed here for 6 nights. This home is without a doubt one of the nicest VRBOs we’ve ever stayed in! It was new, beautifully designed and decorated, clean, incredibly well-equipped, comfortable…we could go on and on. Paul and Katherine were extremely kind and responded quickly to any questions we had. The area is absolutely beautiful–we hiked and biked and visited wineries–a great combination of activities. We recommend this home without reservations, would stay here again in a minute, and will highly recommend to friends and family!

My kids and I came for the week and had a fabulous time! The house was perfect- brand new home with very comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, and great location! Not walking distance to beach, but a very short drive. Would love to stay again in the future ◡̈

Our family had an excellent stay at green pastures. The house was quite comfortable and Katherine and Paul were very responsive hosts! We enjoyed visiting sleeping bear dunes, the beach in empire and kayaking.

We stayed here with our family of five. It’s a beautiful new home that has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owners were really great to work with, they even added a special touch by leaving birthday goodies for us as we were celebrating my husband’s birthday. You can tell they put a lot of thought into making their home a great place for guests to stay. The location is very close to Sleeping Bear Dunes and the surrounding beaches, We were able to walk to Shipwrecked Cafe and also the Visitors Center. Glen Arbor was less than 15 min drive away as well. I would definitely recommend!

Our family of 5 stayed for 8 nights. Everything was perfect. New, clean close to great beaches and Sleeping Bear dunes. Deer and wildlife all around at dusk and dawn. Will definitely be back!

My family and parents had an excellent stay at Green Pastures! We enjoyed our time there so much we extended by one night! We would have done more but the home was understandably already booked by another guest. I'm a stickler for clean and was not disappointed. I loved the solid surface flooring throughout that made it easy to vacuum up crumbs or sand. My mom and I especially enjoyed the gourmet kitchen and appliances. We ate on the deck several times and my husband made use of the grill too. We felt at home with quality linens and towels. My kids watched for deer in the morning and evening and were thrilled to watch a Doe and her twins walk in and around the property. My Dad was happy to have access to park his car in the garage. The 6 of us had plenty of room to spread out and not feel crowded in the evenings. Empire is the cutest little village. We walked to The Grocer's Daughter from the house for ice cream. The location was excellent as it was close to the iconic M22 and spent 2 days taking the route and visiting nearby Glen Arbor, Peirce Stocking Drive/ the Dunes, Fishtown (Leland), Northport, Omena, Sutton's Bay and Traverse City. Highly recommend Esch Beach as it is only a 10 minute drive but feels like Hawaii. We are already planning a return trip!

My family of 4 stayed here for a week to get away from the Texas heat. The owners are incredible; so thoughtful and easy to contact with any questions. All of the kitchen cabinets and light switches are labeled, and the kitchen is fully stocked with every type of cookware/bakeware/drink ware you could need. The home is new, beautifully appointed, and had space for all of us to chill on our own when we wanted to. The beds are super comfortable, as well as the rest of the furniture. Empire beach was walking distance away as is the rest of the small town. And you can easily drive to many other wonderful beaches and towns in 5-25 minutes from the property. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

Very much enjoyed our stay. New home - set up in an excellent manner for guests. Nice location near Glen Arbor and Traverse City. Highly recommend.
