Empire Beach House - Lake Michigan cottage with firepit, grill & furnished deck

Inside property outstanding. Outside needs cleaning. For cost of rental would expect outside to have better upkeep? Every morning at 555am very loud boaters were putting boats in lake. Lovely well decorated interior, supplies crazy good and high quality. Loved proximity to lake. Deck wonderful with firepit and gas stove. We had a WONDERFUL vacation.

The Empire Beach House has been a favorite spot of ours for several years. The home has recently been beautifully updated throughout making it modern yet still cozy. It is organized and has everything you need for your beach getaway. The deck and views are amazing. We had an excellent experience with the co-hosts who connected with us in advance and throughout the stay. Great electronic guide to the property and surrounding area was also provided.

The Empire Beach house was perfect for our family! The house was very clean, well appointed and efficiently organized. I can't say enough about how awesome the deck and beach area are. Typically when we have visited the SBDNL area, we pack up and head to one of the many public beaches which are great in their own right. But there was no need for that at the Empire Beach House since the private beach is spacious and the water and sandbar are just as good as our other favorite beaches. The property management team was very responsive to any questions we had which were few since they put a lot of thought and effort into prepping the house. We would love to stay here again!!

Right on the beach. Lake Michigan views Beautiful and very clean home

The views alone are incredible, but in addition, the house was truly perfect. Clean, simple, organized, and still offers a great view from inside for those cooler mornings. The deck off the house was awesome! We spent most mornings on the deck with coffee, and every evening there with a bonfire. The beach area was awesome, and we appreciated the Adirondack Chairs being available for use (one less item to pack). It was so nice being able to take just a few short steps to the beach, and then also the ability to walk our young kids to the two different public playgrounds at the public beach. It's a great home for all ages! We would love to stay here again!

The sunsets!! It was exciting to see the different beach daily ( water moves it around). It can be calm and relaxing or you can join in the activities Nextdoor on public beach. Volleyball, children’s playgrounds or just people watch.

The house is ideally located on Lake Michigan, with beautiful South Bar Lake steps away. The sunsets and beach combing are spectacular on the big lake, with the kinder, gentler inland lake there for youngsters and those who prefer their swims a bit warmer. The remodeling of the house is just beautiful and the hosts stocked the kitchen so thoughtfully. The house does only have one full bath (and one half bath) but this worked out fine for us and our three adult children to share. Could not have had a better experience!

I was so happy with our choice to stay here. The house was so beautiful and updated. Everything we needed for our stay was included and the location could not be better. We were able to enjoy the dune, beaches, hiking trails, and spend time in downtown Glen Arbor and Fishtown. We will absolutely be back!
