Webster Cottage - 1 minute walk to beach!

Nice property by the lake. Would visit again.

The host was highly responsive to our questions prior to our trip. The Property Manager stopped by after our arrival to give us a quick tour and point out things to know. Did not expect a personal greeting and walk through like this.The cottage itself was great. It was clean and ready to go for our family vacation. Very short walk to a great beach.Our only dissapointment was the guest bedroom in a small detached building just behind the house. When we opened the door, it had a strong musty smell like it had not been open for a long period. It was humid, with a window air conditioner and a space heater. The humidifier ran, but did seem to work. It showed a continous humidity reading of 20%, which was not accurate. The carpet/rug was old and had leaf particals and other debris that had been tracked in by others and there were dead bugs in various places. We needed all 9 bed slots, so my wife and I stayed in the guest bedroom while the rest of the family stayed in the cottage.We love the property and location. We would definately go back if we didn't need to use the guest bedroom. I would give this a five star rating if we didn't need to use the guest bedroom.

5/5 Stars – Absolutely Wonderful Stay!We had a lovely experience staying at this property! It was the perfect setup for our family gathering. Having a fully equipped kitchen was a major highlight for me, as it allowed us to cook meals together and truly enjoy our quality family time.We were in town for a wedding, and you couldn't ask for a better location. It is absolutely beautiful and incredibly convenient—we were so close to the beach, the town, and the wedding venue that we walked everywhere! If you do want to venture out for food, we highly recommend grabbing breakfast at Cafe Julia.A special shoutout to the property manager, Gibby. He swung by right after we arrived to introduce himself and show us around the house. We’ve stayed at many VRBOs over the years, and this was a first for us—it was such a welcoming, nice touch!A quick tip for future guests: I had read this in previous reviews but completely forgot to pack accordingly—the master bedroom has sheer curtains, and the neighbor's outdoor light shines through at night. If you think that might bother you, just remember to pack an eye mask!Aside from that minor detail, everything was flawless. We highly recommend this home and would absolutely stay here again!

Loved our stay — the highlight was the unbeatable location just steps away from Lake Michigan. Perfect spot for morning walks and sunset views.

A nice vintage cottage with modern kitchen. Great outside area. Only suggestion is it isn't appropriate for people who are balance challenged & light sensitive.

EXCELLENT location! Unfortunately, the home had not been properly cleaned. The oven was dirty and smoked and showers had mold. When we turned down the beds and found the sheets had not been changed, we decided to drive home instead of staying the night. The owner was kind and prompt in reply, but we had not taken photos and the cleaning crew refuted our claims. Recommend check for cleanliness at check-in and call immediately, taking photos of any concerns.

This was our home away from home the weekend my son got married. The house was clean and being greeted when we got there was such a nice touch. We had to go buy pods to run the dishwasher but considering that is the only issue we had I would say it was a great weekend. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location and property is perfect for a family with small kids.
