Eastham, Massachusetts
The house is approx. 1500 square feet, has two bedrooms upstairs, two downstairs, two full bathrooms and an outdoor (enclosed) hot-water shower. A front porch and side deck afford great views of Cape Cod Bay. It was built in the 1950's and has been owned previously by one other family, who took excellent care of it. It features a lovely living room with fire place and classic knotty pine paneling walls and views of the bay from the front rooms on first and second floor. A small backyard is perfect for kids play.
With the stairs to a private beach located approx 100 feet from the house, no need to drive to the beach! The bayside in this area is great during low and high tides, to swim during high tide or explore the sandbars and tidal pools when the tide is low.
Guests provide their own bed, bath, beach linens and towels.
My family and I had a wonderful time at this property. You can see the ocean from the cottage and can reach the beautiful beach across the road to a path and staircase. The cottage is very nice, beautifully clean and comfortable. It is equipped with everything for entertaining and the owner Kevin is a delightful person who takes care to be responsive and anticipate your needs. Wonderful!
The location couldn’t have been better! Communication with the property manager was excellent they were very accommodating!
We loved absolutely everything about our stay, except for having to leave. Thank you Kevin for your kindness. We can’t wait to come back.
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was exactly as described, and it was easy to communicate with the owner. The house was on a quiet street and was right across the street from the beach. We had a 6-month old with us so being able to go back and forth made our trip more enjoyable. The water and beach were very clean and there were spectacular sunsets. We were also close to the National seashore and many restaurants. We would definitely stay again!
Everything was perfect! We had four adults and two small children on our stay and everyone had an amazing time. The house was clean and I loved the sitting area and separate living room. One of us had to still work and attend meetings on Zoom and it was nice to have that extra space. The kids were able to watch TV in a separate room when it was raining. We have stayed at other places in the area and the rooms were always on the smaller side. I was pleasantly surprised with the room sizes. There was enough room for all of us to stay comfortably. The location is perfect! Only a few minutes away from Rte 6, good restaurants and activities. The pathway to the beach was steps away and the street we were in was very quiet. We loved everything about the area and house. The owner was very quick to respond and extremely nice. I would highly recommend this property. Our age range was 64-5 and everyone had an amazing time.
Location on the Cape was close to all of our interests-beach, bike, trail, national seashore, great restaurants, and shopping. Owner was responsive to our needs and concerns. Planning to vacation here again!
Family getaway for a long weekend and we love being on the bay. Sunsets and low tides made our trip so wonderful. Check In was easy, and Kevin was in touch to make sure we were settled in. Will definitely be staying again with the family.
As advertised this place is very close to the bay beach. You can hear the waves. Short drive or walk to First Encounter Beach. Close to many good restaurants. The Brickhouse is our favorite. Great food and friendly employees. The TV room is was where we spent most of the time inside. Very cozy for the 2 of us. If we go back to the cape we will check for availability here.
We couldn't have asked for a better location - across from the beach and there was plenty of space for 5 adults to spread out. The owner was also very easy to get in touch with if needed. However, while we enjoyed our stay, there are still some things to note. Pros Perfect location!!, lots of space/accommodations, outdoor shower (loved it), full kitchen, nice Weber grill, beach chairs provided, washer/dryer, homey Cons Needs a little TLC - screen door to deck comes off the track and holes in the screen, large gap at bottom of entry screen door, main floor bedrooms could use new flooring (flaking), ants in the kitchen (coming from wall by sliding door), could use a TV in the main living room area (where sectional is), only floor fans for hot weather and the biggest issue was the smell in the downstairs bedroom with the twin beds - cat urine? That would be the only deal breaker for staying here again. Except for the last one listed, the overall cons were very minor, so I would still recommend this to anyone looking.
My family of 5 had a great stay! The location is quiet, family-friendly, and the ocean views are incredible. With 3 kids under 3, the ability to just walk across the street and be at the beach is priceless, and watching the sunset from the porch or deck was wonderful. The only downside is that there is no A.C (which we knew ahead of time) and we were there during the recent heat wave so it got VERY hot in the house which was tricky with little ones. Other than that the house is clean, quaint, and dog friendly. Access to a washer/dryer was a huge plus as well.
The house was comfortable everything we needed. Views of the sunsets from the deck were spectacular and you couldn't beat the access to the private beach across the street. Perfect relaxing long weekend!
