Exceptional property with fantastic host.

We had a great 2 night stay. The property was exactly as advertised in the pictures and perhaps even better. Everything was very clean and there were plenty of supplies and extras. Lots of room on the inside and the outside was better than anticipated. Watched small bush planes take off and land across the water. Ruth was always quick to respond from the time we booked until the day we left. We highly recommend this spot just outside of Fairbanks!

One of the best VRBO stays. The house had everything we needed and was well laid out for everyone's comfort. We enjoyed watching planes land and take off and the ducks in the water. The beds and pillows are comfortable and the kitchen had everything we were looking for. It was close to University of Alaska Fairbanks and the Pump House restaurant, but was very quiet and peaceful.

We absolutely loved everything about our stay here! The house was well stocked, very clean and very comfortable! We even saw a moose right out the living room window in the backyard.

Place was really clean and new. Had the finer touches my wife likes like lotions, specialty soaps etc. Close to Murphy Dome to see the lights.

Would give this VRBO 10 stars if that was possible!!! Everything was perfect and the hosts really put a lot of thought into making sure everything in the home was comfortable and functional. My husband has a bad back and is very picky about beds, and this one was firm and super comfortable. The location is super central to anything you would want to do in Fairbanks. It is also super quiet and very picturesque. We would definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to friends!

Wonderful place!

We stayed at this property in Fairbanks with my husband and another couple, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience despite some initial stress. After my original reservation was unexpectedly canceled a month prior to our trip, I was worried about finding a replacement. Luckily, we found this VRBO rental, and it worked out beautifully.The home is converted from an old hangar into a spacious 3-bedroom house, and it is both modern and cozy. The décor is stylish, everything felt very clean, and the setting on a small body of water made it unique and peaceful. Small planes do occasionally take off across the river, but they were more entertaining than bothersome—we actually enjoyed watching them.A couple of minor drawbacks: there was only one television in the common upstairs area, which felt inconvenient since we gave the upstairs space to the other couple we were traveling with. It would be nice if the master suite (on the lower level) had a TV, or even one in the kitchen/living space, to make it more comfortable for all guests. Also, the towels were left in the washer when we arrived, so we had to dry them ourselves. I think having fresh, ready-to-use towels provided should be a standard part of the stay.That said, these were small issues compared to the positives. The location was excellent—close to downtown Fairbanks, grocery stores, and the activities we wanted to do. Overall, it was a clean, comfortable, and very convenient place to stay, and I’d recommend it

The property is beautiful, and the comforts like coffee station, outdoor seating, and soft blankets add to the relaxing vibe.

Loved 1st class furnishings. Loved watching planes fly off water and gravel. I am a private pilot and my grandson has 20 hours of training under his belt.

The pictures of this home and property do not do it justice the home is lovely it has everything you may need for your stay. The decor was so tastefully done. The view every morning and evening was the best part. The lake with the planes coming and going was so much fun. We even had a moose visit late one evening and the ducks swimming in the lake. This property is so centrally located to everything that you will need. Easy access to the freeway, grocery stores Pioneer Park and shopping. You must try the Pump House for dinning, and it is just down the street. Ruth was wonderful to work with, and she helped with all our questions we needed.

Great house. Roomy, clean, modern. Great process. The only thing that could have made the stay better was the weather, but we knew that booking in April. I can only imagine how much fun it would be with fun plane activity!

We absolutely LOVED our stay! This was the first time I’ve booked a VRBO because we usually stay in our timeshares so I didn’t completely know what to expect. The property is beautiful, the jacuzzi tub was amazing (I’m kicking myself that I didn’t take a picture of the brand!), we saw the Northern Lights from the deck and there was plenty of room for our family of five to spread out. There was everything we needed from extra blankets to toiletries to a crock pot and more. If we return to Fairbanks we know where we’ll be staying. These accommodations and hosts helped make my son’s senior trip even better!

We enjoyed a great stay in this location. Property just as described. Comfortable beds, great sitting areas, well-provisioned kitchen.

The location was great. We were able to see the Aurora just walking out back. The kitchen is awesome with everything you need if you like to cook. The 3 bed/2 bath layout worked well for our family of 5.

We did a couples' trip to Fairbanks for an extended winter weekend. Unfortunately, holiday travel delays forced us to adjust our initial plans and request a change to our stay. Thankfully, the host was accommodating, and our friends were able to check in two days early!Our stay was lovely overall. The property is stunning, with all the amenities you could need. The sleds and snowshoes were a fun bonus that added to the winter experience.Our only issue was with the heat. When our friends arrived, the property had no gas, so there was no heat or hot water on the first night. Thankfully, this was resolved the next day, and the host was very communicative throughout the process. However, due to the home’s concrete structure, it took a long time for the space to warm up. The downstairs became comfortable after a few days, but the upstairs remained chilly and took a long time to warm up. Those staying upstairs had to rely on the radiator nightly to stay warm.Overall, we’d rate our stay 4.5 out of 5 stars due to the heating issue. That said, everything else worked out wonderfully, and we’d recommend this property for a winter getaway!

This rental was such a great find and my family and I were so happy with our stay. It was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. So many nice touches, like stocked kitchen, coffee and tea bar, and the use of the laundry room. The location was lovely and we all enjoyed the serene water views. We had plenty of space amongst are group and we were never too far from any of our outings. Thanks to Ruth for her communication and easy checkin instructions. If only we could have stayed longer!
