There are a host of strip malls, shopping centers, restaurants and bars within a five minute drive. The neighborhood is easy to navigate, with access to four major interstates (164/664 and 264/64) within a 2-3 minutes drive. There are corner stores within walking distance and three parks in walking distance including one along the Elizabeth river.

The house sits at the back of a cul-de-sac. There is little activity, especially during the day and late evening (after about 8pm). There are two reserved off street parking spaces directly in front of the house. The house is one of six townhouses connected and fenced around the perimeter on 3 sides and open to the river. There are privacy fences in some backyard so you can not directly see into the neighbors yard, and everyone's fence is open to the water (this area is shared without issue).
Very good
A sweet little home right off the sound/river! You can walk right down on the dock and watch the ducks and listen to the crashing of the water. I sat out there for quite some time reading and meditating. LaShawne was just the sweetest and prepared such a nice place for us!! When we had a question, she responded to us within minutes and made us feel quite at home. We even had our own security system in the home which made us feel so safe! (although it was a little confusing how to operate it, even with the instructions). We went to VA Beach (only 20ish minutes away!) and spent some time walking the beach to then come back to our quiet getaway. My only complaint is that our neighbors were pretty noisy at times. Our first night they blared music fairly late and at other times. This just showed us that next time, we would be suited to a private home away from others. Overall, it was a fantastic weekend!
The stay was very good. Strange but the adjacent town house tenants did play there music a little on the loud side just a couple of times, but did not cause us very much interuption to our stay. Tell the owners of the property thanks for the hospitality we appreciate the use of there property. Thanks again
I was surprised that the owner did not clean up the exterior rear prior to guest arriving. Limbs from trees, moss on patio pavers, dirty plastic chairs, overgrown brush that block the river view from the property when sitting closer to waterline. We had to enjoy sunset from the neighbors view because owners was blocked. The interior (though dated) was clean. Suggest that owner remove carpet and replace with laminate/tile which would be more sanitary and reduce odors.
My family came into town on vacation and to visit local family. This townhome was a great spot for what we were looking for. The host was quick with her response to everything from the point of booking. We loved that it was in a safe area that's close to everything. We loved hanging out at the lake on the property. The furniture could be updated and we could have used a washer and dryer in the unit but theres a laundry facility around the corner. Overall we had a great relaxing stay. I'd definitely consider this property for future stays.
We loved this property. There could be a little updating but we enjoyed our stay.
Brought my mom to visit her grandson who is stationed at the Naval Hospital. This place was perfect for us. Super close to everything we needed and were interested in. I had a question just shortly after we arrived and I had an answer super quick. Would certainly stay here again should the kid stay at this hospital.
Nice place.
