It was a wonderful stay at the Maples. It is a beautiful home within walking distance to town. And we loved being right on the lake, so we could paddle board and kayak evey day! Marty and Phylliis were amazing hosts, always available to answer questions, make suggestions, etc. It was the perfect Adirondack getaway!

The large porch is beautiful and where we spent most of our time. The dock was perfect for docking our rental boat. The owners were very kind and responsive.

Beautiful lake house with terrific screen porch overlooking the lake & wonderful large yard. House was very roomy, great kitchen fully stocked. Private dock was great, shallow water at dock so nice for kids. Close to town, very walkable.

What an unforgettable time we had at The Maples. Perfect for our family with little kids and older parents. 2 min. Walk to town for coffee, snacks, pubs, food and grocery store. House was equipped with cooking vessels and utensils, towels and sheets. Fans made the hottest days perfectly comfortable. We found it cozy and homey dotted with little antiquities and the most amazing screened porch where we spent 99% of our time staring out onto the lake. Private Lake access with zero entry swimming for littles and older folks and a dock equipped with a great little loner motor boat for cruising the lake was a huge advantage. Fire pit in the evening was stocked with logs and during the day the yard is huge & ready for lawn games or just gazing at the beautiful wildflowers and Lillie’s edging the property. The gem of this experience for us, however was the people. The home owners and their neighbors had to help us out when power went down for over a day after a storm and we cannot thank them enough for going absolutely above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. I just can’t say enough about how much we appreciate their care for us. Salt of the earth. Absolutely wonderful community in the heart of the ADX. Sat. farmers market and used book sale and beach were great on the way out. Lots of things to do for family & kids in the area including the stone caves, Ausable Chasm, stone bridge ice cream, paradox brewery, hikes, Rodeo, Seagle festival, etc. make this a must!

The Maple delivered. It was exactly what our family was looking for and hoped when we made the reservation. We have stayed elsewhere on Schroon Lake, so had an idea of what we wanted - and this had it. Great location about as short a walk to town as you could hope for lakefront - which made it easy to walk to town for coffee in the morning, or milkshakes at Stewarts for the kids. A huge, open and level lawn for the kids to run around and play lawn games on. And a perfect screened-in-porch with picturesque views out over the lawn to the lake and beyond to have meals, read a book or just relax. Our hosts were also very available as needed before or during the stay, being proactive to make sure we had everything we needed.

Comfortable house and property with attentive owners who responded immediately to any issues or questions. Please note that there are two long sets of stairs to traverse in order to go from the back yard down to the dock.

It was an absolute pleasure staying at the Maples. Phyllis and Marty could not have been more accommodating. The icing on the cake was getting to chat with them throughout the week. Thank you!
