My friends and I really enjoyed our stay here. The house was spacious the outdoor area was beautiful. We spent most of our time outside around the pool. Inside the house was pretty basic but it had (almost) everything you needed. The only thing it was lacking was some Creature Comforts such as hand towels, rugs, decor, etc.We loved the outdoor fridge and bar area. Outside of the pool, the paved patio area looking over the canal was lovely! This property is nothing fancy and there are many things that are outdated (which didnt really bother us). But, it has cold AC, a full working kitchen, and great pool space! I noticed some previous reviews were pretty negative. I believe the property owner took care of many of the issues. My final advice for the owner: make the house feel homey, tighten all the faucets, put down anti slip rugs, refill the propane for the grill, and buy some baking sheets!

This property is a touch up away from being really excellent. The layout is fantastic, it checks nearly all the boxes, is nicely updated, and has significant amenities. The pool, the outdoor bar and pool table, the lanai, the dock with kayak on the canal, the updated kitchen, large beds and bedrooms, etc... It's an easy drive to the highway so you can get anywhere in Tampa/St. Pete fairly quickly. We enjoyed it all, but... The pool heater didn't work and despite several messages to the owner, they couldn't get it to work while we were there. The grill didn't have any gas. The interior is showing a lot of wear and could use a coat of paint and maintenance. The sliding door into the bathroom doesn't slide and is damaged. The toilet seat doesn't fit the toilet and is too small. The bathroom faucet and the kitchen faucet spin and wobble and need to be tightened. The laminate floor in the main area is coming unglued from the subfloor and bubbles up underfoot. The door handle to the outside from the dining room came off. The lanai screen needs to be re-attached in several areas as it's coming apart. The outdoor pool table frame is coming apart. Overall, it just feels like it's missed some TLC for a couple years and needs to be refreshed to be ready for prime time again...

This stay was without a doubt the worst experience we have ever had wit a rental property. The place was sadly very dirty, with weird gunk on the walls, grease stains on the sheets, and dirty ashtrays among other things. The shower floors had some unknown mess on them, and we had to buy a bathmat just to use the shower. When we arrived, the heated pool was freezing, so I called the given number to inquire. I was greeted with an unprofessional What?!? A few times until I explained that i was renting from him... only to be transferred to someone else to explain to me how to find and turn on the pool heater, which took multiple hours to heat the pool. The pool was difficult to get in and out of as there were no railings or ladders. There were no instructions for anything in the property. There were only 4 forks provided for a house that sleeps 8. The batteries fo 3 remotes died, and the electric door lock kept alarming with a low battery error. The outdoor shower exploded when we were trying to use it. Multiple rooms had a strong mold smell, and there was tons of water dripping from the vents. Several outlets/switches had exposed wiring. We ended up leaving early when we saw multiple cockroaches, and the owner blamed us. This place has a lot of potential, but we couldn't get out of there fast enough. Keep looking! I booked even though there were no reviews, which means either this is a new venture or the listing has been taken down and relisted. I wish I hadn't booked.
