This is a beautiful home located right next to the river! It had everything you could need in the kitchen, a beautiful deck for grilling out, comfortable beds, and was a very peaceful setting. It was just what I was looking for.

ccess was seamless, just as described. The well-equipped kitchen made family meals a joy, and the bathrooms offered an abundance of towels for everyone. With five kayaks, two canoes, and ample life vests, our crew savored endless river outings—though a trailer would be invaluable to avoid paddling. Beds cradled us in comfort after full days, while the warm cabin ambiance welcomed kids and pets alike, fostering cherished moments together. Our second stay confirmed it’s a family haven—wholeheartedly recommended.

Jennifer was an absolute pleasure to deal with. She answered all my questions super fast and was extremely happy to help. The cleanliness of the home couldve been a tad better, there was lots of food on the door of the fridge and the fridge required a wipe down until i was comfortable putting our food in. There was dust on one of the beds that i guess had not been used by previous guests so was not fresh linen. We did unfortunately cut our trip short because the loft was absolutely not usable for sleeping do to extreme humidity and heat, and we were a bit cramped without that area for sleeping. Its possible it was due to high summer temperatures and the separate AC unit was not able to keep up. We did try keeping the door closed with the AC running but that still didnt help.

Property was absolutely perfect! Our stay was more than we could have asked for. The house had everything one needed. Ten of us stayed for the weekend. The five grands LOVED the loft that allowed them all to hang together after a day in the river! Beautiful views of the river from decks. The fire pit at the river's edge was probably the hit of the weekend. Nothing like a bonfire and looking at the beautiful moon reflecting on the river. You won't regret staying here!!!

This wonderful house is a well stocked river lodge built for large families. It truly has everything you need in a vacation home. Multiple fridges, large kitchen and living area, lots of beds and baths. House is perfect for those who love the outdoors and the shenandoah river. River frontage is challenging to access the water, steep drop, but ramp access is very close.

Everything was perfect! My only complaint is the kitchen was dirty and the dishwasher was full of water. Sticky counters and we kept the dishwasher closed. I'd still rate this home a 10 out of 10. Exceeded our expectations with location, amenities and space for multi generation families. space

Certainly, here’s a review that captures all of your points: We had a wonderful time at this property! The drive in was scenic and added to the adventure; there are a few signs suggesting a turnaround, but as a guest, this is the only way in, so don’t be deterred. The property is well-equipped for a river retreat. Plenty of canoes, kayaks, and tubes were available, all in serviceable condition, allowing us to make the most of the nearby river. The firepit area is spacious, with plenty of seating for everyone to gather around in the evenings, though the mosquitoes were pretty relentless. With enough fire, however, we managed to keep them at bay! Inside, the amenities are generally well-maintained. The pool table is a little warped and only one cue stick is available, but it was still a fun addition and added to the experience. The kitchen was well-stocked, which made meal prep easy, and we found the furniture to be comfortable and perfect for conversations and relaxing as a group. There are ample sleeping arrangements, and the layout makes it easy for everyone to spread out or gather as needed. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet with no cell phone service—it was a plus for relaxation, although we did miss it a bit for safety. The WiFi worked well enough for basic messaging and coordinating plans. Overall, we’d recommend this spot for anyone looking for a getaway. The rustic charm and amenities made it a memorable escape!

Very quiet setting. The house is set slightly on a hill directly across the one lane road with a beautiful view of the river. I think 3 cars drove by in one afternoon. And there's a tree swing on rope just like I had when I was a kid. And yes, I swang in it. I recommend arriving your first time before dark, or you may have a difficult time finding it. We truly enjoyed our stay. We had everything we needed. Hardly any of the closests were locked, so you could get to the extra light bulbs, paper towels, soap, etc. It was just nice to be trusted that you wouldn't steal anything. Most everyone locks all closests. If it was mentioned on VRBO, I missed it, but in the basement is a pool table, foosball table, bicycle, and full bath. The bugs were pretty active, so take bug spray with you. The host was so easy to contact and very nice. We couldn't get Direct TV to come on, so we contacted her. She called immediately and talked us through a couple things. When that didn't work she had support on the phone in 5 minutes to get it fixed. We definitely would stay here again. I don't like caves, but don't miss Luray Caverns! It was beautiful and so clean! Also, if you like real Italian food, don't miss Il Vesuvio Italian Restaurant in Luray. It is beyond delicious!!! And, my friends made me go to Royal Zaika Grill & Bar in Front Royal, which is an Indian restaurant. The owner and staff were so nice!!! It was my first time eating Indian food, and honestly, I didn't like any of it. It'

We had a great time Columbus day weekend with great weather and river conditions. We spent most of our time outdoors by the river or kayaking or canoeing between the 2 boat ramps in the neighborhood (45 min to 1 hr float at 4 ft river height) and just outside it. The house was well-loved, kid friendly and served our needs fine. Don't expect a 5 star hotel experience but if want a place to crash after a day on the river, it works well and there are lots of beds to choose from. The kitchen was well stocked and Jennifer and family have been very generous with what's available to guests. There's plenty of chairs for sitting by the river, a fire pit, s'mores supplies, 1 canoe and 5 single kayaks, river tubes and plenty of paddles and life jackets. Our kids loved the pool table in the basement.

We had a great bachlorette weekend! They had multiple kayaks aind many tubes. We put the tubes in..up from the cabin and floated back down river to the cabin. Lots of supplies in the kitchen including smore items! The 2 yr.old loved the swings and toys. We'd love to come back! Jennifer was very generous with arrival and checkout times since no one was scheduled after us. Wash clothes were not provided, but plenty of towels.
