La Conner, Washington
Sparkling clean waterfront home tucked in amongst cedar and fir trees on a saltwater bay. Quiet neighborhood with a 180-degree water and island view. Twenty-five minutes from Mt. Vernon, five minutes from La Conner, twenty-five minutes from Anacortes ferry.
This 3-level home is perfect for up to six guests - all levels with their own queen bed and bathroom. There are two open living areas with two kitchens, plus a third bedroom/bath in the loft. Both the main level and the downstairs levels have access to the outdoors/beach. Due to the high bluff, we DO NOT accommodate children under 12.
Rates are for two people. Extra guests over the original two are an additional $30 per night including children over 12. Very strict pet policy: A standard $100 fee for pets for up to three days. If more than 3 days, we will charge an extra $30 per night. ONLY pets under 20 lbs and non-shedding. Limit one pet per booking.
You will receive directions and key information from VRBO's "Welcome Guide" 3 days before check in.
You can go for a walk right out the front door or to the beach. The beach is rocky and full of driftwood and small pebbles. It is not sandy, nor conducive to laying on the sand getting a tan! It's for walking on. Bring walking shoes.
Our neighbors are close, but with fences. We have never had any complaints about noisy neighbors. It's a quiet neighborhood. One guest complained about no blinds on the windows and the sunlight bothered them. There is a separate living/kitchen area on the lower level that does have blinds.
La Conner offers fine dining, pubs, cafe's, coffee shops, music, art galleries, tulips in April, the farm festival in the fall, and a boardwalk along the Channel.
Big Cedar is near the Whidby Island Naval Air Station. Occasionally they fly over La Conner. They do not fly on weekends. We want you to be informed as we never know when, or if, they will be flying (except NOT on weekends.) You cannot hear take-offs or landings - more of a dull roar in the distance.
Please note that our property is non-smoking. Neither is this property suitable for children under 12.

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful property. The view was beautiful, and the area was quiet. The house was very clean and comfortable. We will be back!
This was a wonderful place to take my two sisters who were visiting from the East Coast. We enjoyed a hike up Sugarloaf, visits to Deception Pass and Sharpe Park, and a hike at Ebey's landing. The kitchen was also wonderful for preparing crab and halibut feasts!
Take that view in the photos and sprinkle on some snow, no more snow, and a bit more. Our long weekend coincided with rarely seen (every 5 years or so apparently) deep snow which meant we spent longer looking out of the stunning window, at the island, the eagles, the water, other wildlife....than we expected! The house is warm even in the cold, has plenty of comfort, the kitchen while simply stocked still has all the dishes and pans you need. We slept upstairs to enjoy the light from the full length windows, but the back bedroom is nice too. We hope to return in better weather to explore the area more, and enjoy that incredible view again. Thanks Judy, for your kindness and sharing this delightful property.
The Big Cedar Home we visited over Thanksgiving was a prefect getaway for a family of four. The house is situated on a high bank right above the beach with gorgeous views of the bay and the Olympic Mountains beyond. We were fortunate to have good weather during our stay which made for amazing sunset views. The neighborhood is just outside the historic town of La Conner and is very quiet. It is a great starting point to explore the region around Anacortes including San Juan Islands via ferry connections. The house was well kept, well equipped and clean. The space is generous for four adults. Making the reservation worked without any problems and the host is wonderful and very responsive in terms of communicating via the VRBO app messaging platform. We had a great time in La Conner
Enjoyed our 4night workation WiFi was fine, amazing birdarama Sunday morning at low tide. Perfect size for 4 people. Comfy beds and couch. Thanks!
Nice location, excellent views.
Serene, Tranquil and beautiful!
The location and view from the great room and the beach accessible by stairs are fabulous! Wonderful to watch the islands through the changing weather. and birds on the water and in the trees coming and going. The area was quiet however having renters below the unit did distract some from the serenity. TV service did not work and while manager responded in a timely way and tried to fix it was not available for the stay.
We had a terrific time, enjoying this lovely home with a beautiful water view. Everything was well kept, helping us be perfectly comfortable during our stay. Thanks so much for a terrific visit!!
Lovely spot with gorgeous view. Very comfortable for four lady friends get away. Enough room to set up a couple of cots in living room. Close to numerous well stocked fairly proceed thrift stores! ?
