Waterfront home with theatre, private pool & hot tub - dog-friendly

We had a wonderful stay. The house was very spacious for our larger group of 16 adults and children. However, the directions for checkout were a bit confusing. The VRBO email instructions said one thing, the posted instructions said another and the checkout email said something different. We had to replace most of the TV remote batteries during our stay and pick up our own potholders because none were provided(we left them behind for the next guests). The laundry service came during our stay to pick up from the prior guests and dumped all our shoes and shells from the beach off the plastic box in the parking area onto the concrete. They didn't pick any of it up. Overall, we had a great stay and some of the minor inconveniences were truly no fault of the proeprty owner(s).

Great stay

It was a wonderful house with great amenities! Enjoyed the pool, theater room, pool table. It was great having almost all king beds. The only feedback I have is that there were some much needed kitchen needs. additional forks, tupperware, bottle opener, kitchen mitts, pot holder, dish towel, etc

The pool and yard maintenance men were excellent. Lots of space for everyone.

Nice house in a decent location, but we were disappointed with the kitchen setup. It lacked essential tools needed for a comfortable stay — old pots and pans, worn-out utensils, no dry towels, and not enough basic cooking supplies. We also found some dishes and utensils dirty upon arrival, which was disappointing.

The house was very big and clean and had everything I needed and the staff was great will be going back thanks to everyone I talked to when I was there

The house and location were great. Set back in a quiet neighborhood. We had our dog with us and the neighborhood was great to walk her and I loved that it had spots with poop bag dispensers. There are multiple entertaining spaces which made it great for our different age range of family members to either be together or have space to do their own thing. We did have a plumbing issue with a clog shower drain in two showers (clogged with sand which I get with it being a beach house) but the management was very receptive and had a worker over within a few hours. I would recommend and will definitely be looking to return in the future.

I have been renting at OBX for over 20 years and have probably been in a dozen different houses. Pelican’s Pad is very near the top! The pool and the cabana with a refrigerator were very nice. Beds and furniture were very comfortable. High recommended!

This cottage is AMAZING! Absolutely beautiful, very roomy. We loved how the majority of the rooms had their own bathrooms. The elevator was a plus for us.

Overall we had an ok stay. It was close to stores and restaurants, it had majority of things we needed. But I felt like it was overpriced for some of the issues we had/saw.

This is a tough one. The house had some very good qualities, but not a great first impression. The pool and hot tub were great. The house is great for a large group. The listing is an accurate representation of what you get. My complaint would be more with property management. No attention to detail. Lots of little things that could be fixed. Poor effort cleaning it from the prior stay.

House is great, a little dated, but everything was great. Kitchen equipment covers about everything and double dishwashers for our large group was great! I would recommend heating the pool, it gets cold.

Gorgeous house and location, but needs lots of attention/maintenance to make it worth the price. Pool was awesome... pool table and kayaks - not so much (worn out and falling apart...). Bring your own 12-cup coffee filters; the stores were out and none provided. No keurig, so don't bother bringing k-cups. Otherwise, it was ok. Still had a great time with family!
