Stayed Jun 22, 2024This is a stunningly beautiful property with incredible views. The kitchen and bar was fully stocked with everything you'd need to cook for a large family (there were 9 of us). We ran out of propane gas in the middle of cooking and the owner had that issue resolved within 25 minutes, on a Sunday! We really appreciated the kayaks that were made available, the incredible sound system and the fireplaces. This property is so peaceful and quiet and we'd recommend it to anyone looking for a place on Vinalhaven.

Stayed Aug 19, 2023Our 3-generation family could not have a better week at Smith Point. The house was uniquely designed, well-appointed and commodious and its location looking out to the eastern end of Fox Island Thorofare was everchangeling perfect for us even though we’ve transited it for 50 years by boat. Speaking of boats, the floating dock was great as we arrived with the boat as our only means of transit allowing the home to be our base for day trips east. For the grandkids, the grounds and kayaks as well as the beaches provided hours of play and learning. All-in-all, this was pretty much the ideal place for the Fowler family. Thank-you for making it available to us.
