Waterfront home with private pool, hot tub, pool table & fireplace -dog-friendly

Upon arrival we noticed several issues, including wifi not working, fridge not cooling, and mold around vents & missing air filters. We reached out about these issues the evening of our arrival and were told a local team would be handling it. We reached back out to the general customer service line around noon the next day after not hearing anything from the local team. We simply asked when we could expect to hear from the local team, but did not get an answer. We were then contacted by a maintenance person...on the other side of the state who was dispatched the address of a booking we have for next year. We had to call the general costumer service line again, where they finally put a ticket in with the local team for the correct address about our issues. 3 hours later a local person arrived to address the issues. Fortunately we had a couple of handy people in our group who were able to get the fridge & wifi working by the time the maintenance person arrived. Our food would have been ruined if we had had to wait for the maintenance people to come fix the fridge. Also, while this was a pet friendly house, we noticed evidence of previous animals that had not been thoroughly cleaned, mostly in the living room. We had to keep the foam segments under the carpet outside for the duration of our stay to fix the smell. These issues would have been less disruptive if we had had better communication from the local team.

The home was very clean and we enjoyed the hot tub as well the game room. And it has a ice machine in the game room! If you bring your pet watch out for the lil sand spurs on your pets paws.

We had a very nice stay. House was in a very good location. Quiet neighborhood and close to stores. Having the pool on property was a nice bonus. Our stay was pleasant and we all had a good time. We will be booking again with Vacasa in the future, as we have done already in the past. Never have had any issues.

I’ve never stayed at a beach house in OBX before so this was our first experience and the house left a lot to be desired. The Exterior: needs a good power washing as well as all of the outdoor furniture and the tiered decks, pool area has weeds and debris all around it and the furniture was cheap and old, grill and grill utensils not maintained well either Living Room and Kitchen: all furniture is old and stained, coffee table was dirty as well as the shelf underneath it, kitchen appliances need to be updated, overall cleanliness was not great, floors were so dirty our feet turned black on the first day, the dining table had a glass overlay that had all kinds of dirty things under it, Bedrooms: entry doors were filthy it looked like someone had rubbed their dirty hands all over them, furniture was also old and dirty, the main bedroom had a pet stain on the bed skirt that my dog would not leave alone. Other Notes: the carpet all through the house needs to be pulled up especially since it’s pet friendly. You could see and smell stains on the carpet, door frames/baseboards/other trim need to be replaced or repainted as they were in bad shape, the floors all over the house were gross and dirty I didn’t even take my shoes off, there was no chalk for the pool table and the foose ball table is shoved in a corner so you can’t even really use it, there was also no a lot of extra towels or bed linens so we had to wash them every other day. Overall I was not impressed with this house, for as much as it costs for a week in the summer I expected more for my money. The neighborhood itself was great and in a good location and the pool was a decent size. Other than that I can’t really say anything nice about the house.

This home provides everything for a great family vacation! We enjoyed the sunset from the upper deck, the pool was refreshing, and many games of pool were played in the game room. There’s ample room for large families and the king beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend!!

We loved having a private pool and the hot tube

We needed a house with a private pool for our special needs daughter. The pool was the only good thing. The house had a strong smell of dog. It needs a good deep cleaning. A layer of dust was on everything. The decks were green from water and very slippery. Our daughter fell because of this. The carpets in the bedrooms were very stained. The internet didn’t work for the first three days and trying to get someone to come out and look at it was impossible. “We’ll make a ticket” was the response. After inquiring with friends this seems to be a Vacasa thing. So we’ll never use Vacasa again. It’s a shame a potentially nice house can’t be enjoyed because of the smell and filth. And I don’t think our complaints were heard. We actually left a day early because we were so uncomfortable. And of course they’re “making a ticket” about a partial refund.

The property was great ! A few hiccups was we wasn’t able to work any of the coffee makers and the umbrella at the pool was broken. Over all it was great and plan to book it again next year
