Waterfront Home with Gorgeous Views of Hood Canal

The kids played on the beach and we roasted marshmallows in the fire pit. BBQ'd oysters for dinner the next day after a long adventure to Hama Hama salon for live music and fun. I slept in the loft with our toddler and the beds were warm and comfortable with lots of different pillow options for neck support. Owner was easy to communicate with and kind.

Jim the host is a wonderful guy who shared the story of his home and was extremely accommodating to our stay. We loved the location and the beach was great. The home is older but clean, well stocked and seems larger than the 2100sqft.

This was a lady's getaway and golf vacation. We found your house on the water to be very relaxing. There was plenty of room for all of us and there were helpful notes left for guests. This is our second time here.

This is an excellent house for a stay at the beach! Attractive, well-equipped, plenty of room for groups, with lots of thoughtful touches including a rinse station for watersport gear. It's also good value for money. I hope to return on future scuba diving trips.

Comfortable and well equipped property

Peaceful location with great food all around you. There's a jewelery store in Hoodsport my wife found, consider yourself warned. The house is second only to the view.

This house was absolutely perfect. It offered an amazing view of the water and the location to town was great. The house itself is incredibly comfortable and came with everything we needed.

I first want to say, this is absolutely the cleanest rental property I’ve ever stayed at. I was so impressed with the level of detail the cleaning crew did. The house itself is such a dream. The views are incredible and the deck and lower fireplace area was perfect for our family of 5. It truly felt like you were staying at your favorite Aunt and Uncle’s summer house. The place was well stocked with everything we could’ve needed. The owners really have thought of everything. We cannot wait to come back here next summer. Thank you for helping us make great memories with our kids!

Had a wonderful time, the house was perfect for our family! The kids loved the ping pong table and walking on the beach. We could easily go kayaking or enjoy the firepit. We had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend!

We rented this big house for two because it was accessible for my husband who uses a walker/wheelchair. And of course, because of the lovely location on the canal. This was one of the nicest most well equipped VRBO homes we’ve rented (and we use them often). Perfect set up for a large family or romantic getaway. A real gem!

This was our third visit and once again, we thoroughly enjoyed it with our family. Nothing more special waking up to the view over the canal especially on a sunny spring morning. Thanks again Jim!

We’ve stayed here before and loved it so much we came back. Right on the water, oysters galore! Went up to Staircase park and even though it’s closed for the season, you can walk back and explore. The weather happened to be beautiful for our stay! We also checked out the Hoodsport trail, saw Bear prints, Eeck! Coffee shop is also great. House is well-stocked and super cozy and clean. Jim is a delight and accommodating. Until next time….

Clean and spacious. The house had everything we needed to cook and eat in...well stocked with pots, pans, dishes and utensils. Clean bathrooms with hygiene products and nice towels. Queen size beds were ok comfort-wise and had the nice touch of flannel sheets. HHouse was decorated for Christmas holiday

It is the most relaxing spot on the canal with beautiful views of the water and mountains. The home is older but very well maintained. You are in walking distance from the winery and a short drive to shopping and a wonderful restaurant.

My daughter and I enjoyed every moment. The setting, accommodations, and amenities were way more than expected.

What a special property! We had a wonderful stay and really felt like a member of the family. The property was ideal for our trip (kayaking) and spending time with friends. Their teen daughters loved spending time in the loft above the garage, and the wraparound patio was the perfect place to watch the sunrise along Hood Canal, sip wine while watching seals frolic in the water, and stargaze after dusk. The property has a well-stocked kitchen and was clean and comfortable.

Very nice, well kept, lots of room, facilities all worked well, Kitchen was great. View is as good as it gets. Saw 3 dolphins, several seals, etc. Appliances all worked well. Host was quick to respond to questions. Clean. We will be back next year.

Wonderful place for relaxing and golfing with friends

At first I thought the pictures online seemed sort of dated, but this house was a complete gem! It was classically authentic and very clean. I liked getting the back story from the current owner before we arrived. It had everything we needed to eat there and prepare a meal. Typically I do not chose houses that have a lot of personal effects such as family pictures all over the place, but the old pictures in the hallway were AWESOME! It brought in so much history and we imagined what it must have been like when Bill’s parents lived there. By the way, they both look like legends! I would absolutely recommend this place, it’s beautiful. We had fun playing games, ping pong, and watching the Olympics. It was very comfortable. We all wished we were there for longer than just two nights. Thank you for sharing this most amazing home!

Great place for girls’ weekend. Kitchen has everything you need. Beds comfortable with nice bedding and nice towels. Wonderful view and location.
