This riverfront home is located on Sebascodegan Island, on a private drive at the very end of the Indian Rest Neighborhood Association. You'll find modest hiking trails in the adjacent woods, as well as direct access to the river right from the property (Cundy's Harbor is about a 15-minute ride by motorboat). If you walk down the road or follow the wooded path at the top of the drive, you'll come to a shared association dock for swimming. The legendary shipbuilding town of Bath is also just 10 miles northeast.

Tricky lock on the front door but helpful local manager sorted it out. The location is dreamy. Fire pit is a highlight. Water is not very accessible but the view is lovely
The place was clean and had a beautiful view, would definitely rent again.
This was our third year in this house and will be our last. This is a generously sized house that accommodates large groups - which we are not. We love the property and the location. Over our three years there upkeep/repairs have declined. The changes that have occurred since Vacasa took over management like puny, low end toiletries and cheap towels along with digital locks that don’t work and no guarantee of early check in even with lots of advance notice are things we might put up with for the sake of the location but the price has gone up tremendously and for us it’s just not worth it. If you’re a big family/group, all these things are survivable and the beauty of the view and convenience to everyplace from Portland to Camden is a real asset. If you’re sensitive to value and want top dollar to equate to top quality, you’ll be disappointed. For example, there are no amenities such as kayaks or paddle boards even though there’s great launch space. The Xbox doesn’t work, the TV sound system is awful to the point of not being able to understand what’s being said, the DVD player downstairs doesn’t work and you’re expected to empty the dehumidifier that runs 24/7 (wouldn’t you want that set up in a way that it wasn’t guest dependent?) The pillows in the guest room were so poor that our very tolerant guests asked if we knew where they could swap them for others so they could get a good night’s sleep. The jacuzzi hasn’t worked for three years and this year the toilet in the upstairs bathroom runs and the sink and shower were very slow draining. It doesn’t seem like someone is living in the house any longer between rentals to catch these things and have them taken care of.
The views from this location are amazing. Watching the tides, and the boats from the deck or lawn was a great way to spend an afternoon. Fires in the firepit was a great way to end the day. The cottage is well furnished with lots of seating, and pretty well everything that you need. We hope to go back.
The location was beautiful. The only disappointment was the kitchen supplies. The pans were horrible, very scratched up Teflon pans. The electric frying pans tripped the electrical breaker.
Wonderful for everyone ~ ages 60-86!
We flew in from NC to enjoy the outdoor activities advertised (clearly in the description). The list on the refrigerator had canoes and kayaks blacked out and all items were locked in the garage. We called Vacasa and were offered no help. We had to buy fishing rods from Walmart. The board games didn't have pieces. Luckily we brought playing cards. The TV had 4 channels and the Apple TV didn't work. The silverware drawer was dirty. There were dried pasta noodles in it. 5-star view.
Rented for Bowdoin parents weekend and had our Bates son with us! Ideal space for all of us and watching to sunrise from the rocks was above expectation. Everything we needed in including ease to the colleges!
We had a family trip with 5 adults and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! First of all the house was fully stocked with anything you could possibly think of. Secondly, the location is spectacular, right at the edge of the water. We enjoyed bonfires at night, watching the tide come in and out, star gazing, just so peaceful. Would highly recommend this to anyone to rent.
House was in private location with beautiful scenery. The house was very well stocked with linens, dishes and spices anything you may need. Beds were comfortable. Six adults stayed and were comfortable. There were a few minor issues which Vacasa resolved immediately for us. They were concerned and quick to respond. Would definitely recommend.
We had a nice time at this property. Beautiful setting. Lovely house. Plenty of room. A nice quick quiet get away.
M husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. The location is good and the view is absolutely lovely. We heard the birds singing in the morning as we sat on the patio having our coffee. The upstairs bed facing the water is soft but quite comfortable which was nice. However, there are definitely things to improve on. First, I’d put some room Darkening curtains in all the bedroom windows. The sun shone right in our face at 5:30 am. Yikes!! We had to go find eye masks to wear. Generally, the cleaner needs to do a better job dusting and cleaning throughout the house I’d say. We noticed areas which had been neglected for awhile. The house is a bit skimpy on towels so hopefully they can add more even if there’s only a few people. And they did not provide coffee either which surprised us. Toiletries were a bit similar to what you would find in a motel but not in a million dollar VRBO listing. So we had to go buy some and the stores are not close by. Maine is a great place with LOTS of lakes and waterfront so we enjoyed the area very much. And the weather was fantastic!!
I cannot say enough good things about the home. The view is amazing. You cannot see any other homes. The home is soooo spacious. Beds comfortable. Big common area. Huge kitchen with all the amenities. Food store 10 minutes away. Restaurants 10 minutes away. Lots to do and see in the area. 15 minutes from downtown Brunswick. I absolutely loved this place and hope to return soon. Only complaint is with a 5:00am sunrise it would be nice to have blinds for all windows in room facing the lake.
