Waterfront Home on Wallowa Lake with private sauna, dock & amazing view

Great house on the lake. Very peaceful

Everything was great except the home wasn't very clean. Floora were pretty dirty. Due to there not being a dishwasher we found the dishes were put away dirty and plates stuck together. Everything else was great. Beds were comfortable and location was amazing. :)

My family and I had a fabulous stay here. The views were absolutely beautiful, and the home was well stocked. Though we didn't bring a boat, we had a great time on the dock- fishing, launching our paddleboards, swimming, reading, and just laying down watching the stars. The sauna was great after jumping in the water for the swim. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We loved spending the weekend at your home on the lake! The deck and dock were perfect. The hammock was a bonus. I would definitely stay again - it was a memorable weekend with my adult children. The lake was peaceful and the view was breathtaking. I had the best time!

The Ottertail Cabin is very clean, nicely updated, and a perfect fit for our small family. We especially enjoyed the deck. The dock, however, is quite unstable and did not fit our fishing boat well. We otherwise really enjoyed our stay!

The property is amazing with great views and perfect for a couple .The only issue is that the internet is very spotty and was out for 2 of the 4 days we stayed there

The property is adorable, excellent attention to decorative details, very comfortable, kitchen is well-equipped, beds are comfortable. We enjoyed the board games provided by the owner. Everything inside and out was very clean.

We rented this for a weekend get away for our 8 year olds birthday, and it was perfect. Instant communication with the host, the place was clean. We definitely will rent again!

I came for a solo writer's retreat and was so in love with everything about the place I stayed 2 extra days. The view, the book selection, the cozy feel, quiet location, comfy deck furniture, everything just what I hoped for. Next time I'll let my Hubby come because fishing from the dock would have been great too. I hope to make this an annual tradition!

1. Sauna not working. 2. Check propane heater. 3. Dryer squeaks loudly after running awhile. 4. Garbage disposal smelled terrible when we arrived and water needed to be run to smell and taste better. 5. Would be nice to have a blind in the bathroom. 6. Microwave food cover would be useful. Loved our stay though! Wished to use the sauna, so that was disappointing.

We came to Ottertail and Joseph for the first time to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This house was the perfect size and layout for the two of us and would be comfortable for 4. The house and furnishings are very comfortable, memory foam beds, and darkening shades in rooms. It is a very quiet location. The house has almost everything we needed, although it would have been awesome to still have access to the propane outdoor fireplace and grill thru September. The sauna use was really lovely, just be aware the neighbors have partial views of you getting in and out. The house is a great location to town, 20 mins to the south end of the lake. Much of the business are closed at the end of September during the week, so plan accordingly. We did splurge for the tram on a nice day. The private dock is great, so bring a paddle board or kayak! We would love to stay here again.

Very nice little cabin overlooking the lake. Wonderful deck where you can sit and enjoy the peaceful serenity and views.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ottertail Cabin. The house met our needs for a comfortable and relaxing stay at Wallowa Lake. It was well equipped for dining in when we preferred and was an easy drive to Joseph when we wanted commercial dining. It was also a great base of operations for day hiking in the Eagle Cap, riding the tramway up Mount Howard, and other excursions exploring the surrounding area. And there is always something special about staying in a pretty setting on a mountain lake.

Clean, comfortable, quiet and awesome property location. The listing pics accurately represent the cabin. First class kitchen for a rustic cabin with new appliances. Perfect location for a quiet getaway, highly recommend!

Great spot with comfy beds and quiet nights! Close to Wallowa park, Mount Howard and the tramway (recommended!) and the quaint town of Joseph.

Perfect size for our family of 4. We loved the view, the deck, the fire pit, the sauna and the dock. Unreliable Wi-Fi, but that wasn’t unexpected.

The view of the lake was spectacular! The house was immaculate and comfortable. Ammenities were well thought out. We'll be back....
