Waterfront, dog-friendly house with lovely water views, pool access & deck

Excellent location for a dog friendly vacation. Easy walk to nearby coffee shops and restaurants. House was clean and in good condition. Only deducted a point because the master bedroom/bathroom appears to be an addition to the home as there is a slight tilt to that whole area. That didn't matter to us, but it might to some so I thought I should point it out.

Duckin Around was a great family vacation in a nice quiet neighborhood. The location on the canal with a small dock provided for paddle boarding out to the open sound for nightly sunsets. The location is also great for a quick walk to the beach or nearby ramps for vehicle beach access (which is what we did each day). The house is well maintained by the owner who obviously takes great care of the exterior ( really nice) and interior of the home. Outside there is ample parking with two covered spots which was great for the jeep and to house all of our beach boards, sea kayak etc. Inside the kitchen is well equipped with pots and pans for daily cooking and lots of puzzles to keep everyone busy. Finally, the house AC worked fantastic on the extremely hot and humid days we were there. I would definitely recommend this home for an OBX vacation.

This home was conveniently located, pretty well stocked, and the beds were extremely comfy, surprising for bunk beds! All guest commented on how comfortable the beds were.

We enjoyed the location, comfortable beds and all the amenities available in the kitchen.

We loved this property it fit our family of 4 very well. It was nice being on the water. We enjoyed being able to rinse off in the outdoor shower after being at the beach. The parking underneath was nice and gave us a place to keep our kayaks. The corn hole boards were nice in the evenings after dinner. The property could have been cleaned a little better. The ceiling fan had about 2 inches of dust. Since it’s a pet friendly property it’s also important to clean under the beds. Lots of pet hair in corners and underneath things. The property could use some paint and a new kitchen table. Other than that, it was a great place!

It had all we needed. Access to bay for kayaking, access to beach. All needed appliance for cooking

A beautiful home for a small family with kids looking to get away. A peaceful community and great home to stay in.

Great location

We’ve stayed at many houses in Avon over the years and the was one of our favorites for a couple or small family. House is updated and cozy, with a nice spot on the canal out to the sound.

Overall this home was fantastic. Close to everything we came to visit and do. The home was very comfortable and was very well stocked with everything needed. We will be staying again if available during when we come. ?
