Waterfront, dog-friendly home with private pool, hot tub, pier & beach

All of the upgrades from deck furniture to painting in the Great room, dining area and kitchen with shiplap around the fireplace and new windows in the dining area plus new furniture in the Master on top level to new bedding for all rooms are such a great asset. The new furnishings in the Great room with new wall ovens, and refridgerators in the kitchen as well as the Billard room are much appreciated. Overall a wonderful week was had by all with a magnificient ultimate lightning show to see out of the new windows in the Great room the night B4 we left..... Everyone in our family of 12 had a blast with the special private pier and all the equipment available to use in the sound. Such an impressive Beach Cottage - thanks for sharing your home with us.

The house was able to accommodate several people, without feeling crammed. It was clean, comfortable, inviting, and private!

Check in/out was a breeze. We arrived to the property to find it clean and ready for use. When an issue came up with the air conditioning, someone was onsite within the hour for repair. It was an overall great experience!

This trip fully exceeded our expectations. the only complain we have is that we wished we stayed longer!! the hot tub and pool was very relaxing and put to great use.

Awesome house a soevial needs moms respite retreat! Pricate naths in every room. Elevator, and incredible view in a quoet, secluded beighborhood.

We have been coming to this house for 20 years plus. For the most part the house has weathered fairly well.

I especially like having a private pier, a private pool, and the home being pet friendly. The elevator was a plus, especially since I had knee surgery. The view from the decks and eagle's nest were beautiful. The negatives: there was a large pet feces stain in the master bedroom that smelled awful. I didn't notice it until I went to bed the first night. I reported it the next morning but it wasn't taken care of until the third day. I did not leave a tip for cleaning crew as I normally do because this was a huge oversite and they clearly didn't even sweep because there was debris on the floors. The shower in the master ensuite als had mildew on the bottom of the glass sliding door. Furnishings could use an update, as well as the master ensuite.

We have been at the Oaks for 4 years and are disappointed that the price doubled next year, so we have moved to another house. It is a great house, with nice features but needs some attention as it is starting to show some wear and tear. The kitchen items need to be reviewed as things are lacking. We will miss coming back......

Our family enjoyed this house, location and amenities. The private pier and sound side beach worked perfect for us with small kids. It was also great to beach our jet skis to tie up overnight. There is a marina very close by. There are kayaks, a paddle board and some other beach gear provided. Great sunset views. Easy bicycle ride distance from stores, coffee shops and restaurants. Pool heat was good for swimming. Thoughtful owners who gave starter supplies and fresh flowers. Linens provided. Simple check out, no laundry list of things to do. No complaints from our group. We have been vacationing on Hatteras island yearly for 6 years. We enjoyed this location more than previously staying in Waves, Salvo and Rodanthe. We looked at booking this house again for next year, but unfortunately 2025 price is 150% of this years price.

The views are wonderful. The elevator is a big plus
