Stayed Aug 24, 2022The place was cleaned well and had most of what you would need. There were shelves of VHS videos with no VCR to play them and a Blue Ray player but no Blue Ray discs. The carpet was stained and the place was fairly dated. The internet access and phone reception were virtually non existent, which was a bummer. The view was great and the street was very quiet and peaceful. The beach access had a rail which was great for my elderly dad.

Stayed Sep 26, 2025What a sweet little house! Spectacular view of the beach, and easy access one house away. Perfect for a couple like us or perhaps one with a couple of kids. The house has all its appointments from the '60s, but everything's in really great shape. There are new windows and doors.5 minutes away from the hilltop Bistro which serves amazing breakfast, lunch and dinner, 10 minutes away from Waldport, and half an hour to Newport. Even with pouring rain and gale force winds, it was still great to sit and look out at the ocean, especially from the master bedroom upstairs. Not sure what it's like during High season, but there were times we were the only people on the beach.Oh, and our dog loved it too!

Stayed Sep 1, 2025We saw nothing in the posting about bedrooms on the 2nd floor. My husband had a stroke last fall and it made our stay quite difficult. Also, the trees and plants out front draw flies we have to walk through to get to the front door. Also, we were under the impression we could walk off the porch to the beach by the photos and that was not the case. Also, its a terrible idea to have carpet in a home that allows dogs. The carpet upstairs is stained from prior pets.

Stayed Jul 2, 2025We had a lovely visit over 4th of July weekend with our two kids (8 & 10) and dog. We enjoyed the Waldport fireworks on the 3rd and attending the Yachats La Dee Da parade. The location was easy to find, get in and out, and easy to get to the beach. We would happily return to this house and enjoyed it very much. It was very roomy for all of us. We enjoyed several home cooked meals with local ingredients we got at the Yachats Farmer's Market while overlooking the ocean. We loved visiting the Big Stump.

Stayed Jun 9, 2025We loved the roominess, comfortable living area and close, easy beach access. The view from the deck is beautiful although slightly limited by the vegetation. It’s also a great location in relation to Yachats, Waldport and Newport if you’re in the mood for more exploring.

Stayed May 24, 2025Home overlooks the beach. Quiet and somewhat secluded. Nice deck. Home was very nice. Both bedrooms and main bath were on the 2nd floor (wonderful view of the beach to wake up to). I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed Apr 3, 2025This house was exactly what we needed! The view is amazing. The privacy is fantastic…we had the beach to ourselves at almost all times. Playing scrabble, watching the sunset, with a glass of local wine from Ray’s and loaded cheesy bread from Pacific Sourdough was the perfect vacation! To those that reviewed about beach proximity…it’s less than 20 ft away and very easy. We will be back!

Stayed Jan 6, 2025It's a very nice and comfortable house with a wonderful view that would be even better if a big, blocking shrub were pruned. Good access to a fabulous beach. Important items broken on our arrival were not fixed during our month-long stay.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Our recent stay was wonderful. This is a lovely home. We come here at least yearly to relax and enjoy the beautiful beach. The house has a gorgeous view of the ocean. Last year we were able to see whales from the deck. There are very few people walking along this stretch of beautiful coastline so it has the feel of having your own private beach. There are quite a few good restaurants in Waldport as well as in the general area.

Stayed Aug 23, 2024Beautiful view. No direct ocean access but we did enjoy the stay. House smelled like it was smoked in previously sometime in history, that type of smell never really leaves unless you gut the sheetrock and carpet. The smell was noticeable mostly in the stairway. Most appliances and fixtures were dated, but overall a pleasant experience.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We were looking for a place to base camp from while we saw different sites up and down the Oregon coast, and we found exactly what we needed here. It had the added benefit of its own beach access and wonderful views which we definitely took advantage of. It also felt very family friendly in the setup, general condition (clean and tidy but well used and comfortable), and fair rules on quiet hours and parking. All in all our families favorite spot we've stayed when traveling.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I’m absolutely in love with this older beach home! I’m so happy the owner has chosen to share! Quiet small town! Quiet small street. It was everything I wanted for our little family get away. We loved walking on the beach especially at low tide. Close to big stump. I enjoyed cooking in the kitchen as the town doesn’t have many options (which is totally A OKAY) I highly recommend checking out the Chubby little mermaid! Great little bakery and super nice staff! Thank you again for opening your home to us! I hope to be back!

Stayed Jul 18, 2024We regret to inform you that we cannot review this property. However, our experience with Vacasa warrants a rating of 0 out of 10. Booking with Vacasa comes with a cautionary note. Despite our anticipation for a three-night anniversary stay on the Oregon coast in our van, we encountered an unexpected setback due to the property's parking situation. The only available parking was in a garage suitable only for standard-sized cars, which was not clearly disclosed in the initial VRBO listing. There was no mention that the garage was the only option and that the house lacked a driveway. Additionally, it was not stated that parking in front of the house or nearby on the street was prohibited. Vacasa’s VRBO listing stated: Onsite parking options include a garage Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles However, upon receiving Vacasa's pre-trip email with a link to their “trip manager”, which typically includes essential information like door codes and WiFi details, we discovered conflicting parking information: Parking notes: Parking is allowed in the garage only. Parking is not allowed on the street. This discrepancy prompted us to contact Vacasa immediately for clarification or a refund. Unfortunately, Vacasa informed us that no resolution could be offered, leaving us unable to proceed with our anniversary plans and out of pocket by $1400. The lack of clarity in the initial listing and the disparity in post-booking information raise serious concerns about
